Since I'm not getting a PS5 (as well the XSX) until Summer 2021, what I am doing since generation 6 is buying several games I want (physical) from now until the Summer. I'm definitely picking up Valhalla and Spider-Man: Miles Morales this month. And I'm not waiting until Black Friday because I know better.

EDIT: oh! COD:BO:CW is out now. Picking this one up as well.

Safe to assume it's gonna be around 3PM EST since that's what they did on launch day.

PSN ID is required so hopefully that weeds out the bots that hit Walmart.

 

I was in the que for 3 hours, meanwhile people figured out how to bypass the que by hitting ESC while loading the que. This is fucking ridiculous.

 

Yeah man, I hear you. Was just about to get it if somehow I wasn't able to put my CC in.

Somehow I was able to get past the queue. Thought it was cause I got ready way before but nope. For privacy's sake, I use a Firefox extension called NoScript to block any Javascript scripts that I don't mark as "Trusted". Turns out that the queue itself was powered by a Javascript and surprise surprise, NoScript, which doesn't automatically mark scripts as trusted, blocked it. Hence why I was able to make it through.

But then I found out PS Direct was actually restocking throughout the night and hasn't been in stock since a couple minutes before 6...



But yeah if you're still keeping your eyes on PS Direct and are looking for a more private browsing experience with a first extension to boot, Firefox + NoScript.

I swear, every console generation I fall further and further behind.

I want a PS5, but at the moment, my list of "to-play" PS4/Switch games feels freakin' insurmountable.

 

I'm still wondering WTH Medival isn't compatible on the PS5

Got the PS5 yesterday and the Platinum trophy for Astro's Playroom. Just missing one of the add-on trophies. Didn't care much for all that haptic feedback and sounds coming from the controller. It was cool when using a mini-gun though. I turned all that off and vibration when I started playing Spider-Man today, which I shouldn't have started yet. I kinda don't like having to put that extra pressure on the triggers because sometimes I'm not sure if I've already pressed the triggers all the way.

Were these games ever free at some point on the PS4? Not PS+ monthly "free". I know I didn't buy any of these game, but vaguely remember getting Injustice for free either this year or last year.

I read that the rest mode bug leading to a brick console is due to Miles Morales, but probably best to just close the game and maybe do a full shutdown.

 

I just want to note the fact that the PS5 cannot play the PS4 Medivil confuses me to no end.

 

In 10 years I've bought over a thousand games on various consoles. Played most of them this year. Got like 120 to go.

 

For sure, Injustice 1 Ultimate and PvZ were free. I claimed those two as well.

 

Girlfriend bought it for me and man... I absolutely love it , I’ve bought AC Valhalla and COD Cold war and both are great on it. Im really digging Valhalla, a little disapointed it seems the triggers have no effect on the game but regardless its still very fun.. played it for about 2 hours this morning. Also im really loving the controller , the haptic feedback on cod is fun and it jus adds a aspect to game i never had before.

 

So Walmart is selling more tomorrow. What’s the point? Their website will be hacked, again. I don’t understand any of this.

 

I just wanted to thank all of you beta testers out there. In a year or so, Sony will release an updated version which fixes all of these things.

 

Yep. I only buy Nintendon't consoles on launch cause they rapid-fire the first party software year one. With Mircoshaft you get a kneecapped PC for the first year and with Soyny... "Congrats! You're the Beta tester!"
