Disney isn't as faithful as you think. At all. They completely reinvented Thanos as a character, Spider-Man is more Miles Morales than Peter Parker, Falcon doesn't have a telepathic bird friend, they went out of their way to change Captain Marvel so she isn't just Green Lantern like in the comics. They adapt and change stuff to make it fit the modern day and a wider audience.

For a series about shape changing robots, people really like shit to stay the same, it's fucking baffling

 

I think he was referring to The Lion King. But yeah, the rusty old man who is afraid of change attitude is strong in this fandom.

 

I'm sorry, I should have been more specific. I wasn't referring to Disney's adopted properties such as Marvel or Star Wars. I'm talking about Disney original productions such as The Lion King, Jungle Book, Lady And The Tramp, and Aladdin. All of which are faithful to the source material live action adaptations that came out amazing! And One day Hasbro will do the same thing with the original Sunbow G1 Transformers franchise, and It will be amazing! And epic as hell!!! Original 80's music and all!

I hope if Hasbro really has a Beast Wars live action movie planned the result will impress and entertain me in equal measure without necessarily staying true to the source material.

 

Yeah that is by far the unpopular opinion when it comes ot those films. Most often, when I hear people talking about them, it's criticizing how little it does to make itself worth being made. The movies score lower than their original versions and remove a lot of what make people remember them.

I am surprised no one's had the original theme song in one of the movies yet, Power Rangers did it right off the bat
