I didn't know you could top it up? Can that be done through the app? Also pre-ordered on Amazon JP

I would respectfully disagree. Sovereign was my first Fans Toys, and second ever 3rd party purchase, and up to now probably still my favorite release from Fans Toys and one of my favorite Transformers figures of all time. However, while I acknowledge that I may still be in the honeymoon phase with Thomas, I think Thomas has surpassed Sovereign as my favorite Fans Toys release. The reason is simple. Thomas looks great in each of the three modes, and the transformation is reasonably easy to execute. Sovereign is arguably better looking in robot mode, but the transformation is more difficult to execute and the alt mode is just OK. For those reasons I think Thomas is the new high water mark for me.

Regardless, both are awesome and I'm very happy to have them.

I do want another one for alt-mode or toy color. If either one happens at under $300 I think I would preorder. The current ShowZ price of $320 isn't that much more than that so I guess if I ever felt like parting with $320 I might consider it.

I'm gonna wait for a reissue. And while I hope it's cheaper, there's no way on earth this thing is worth $320. It's a hunk of plastic that sits on a shelf surrounded by other hunks of plastic.

For $320 I could have 2 hunks of plastic sitting on the same shelf.

Following this line of thinking, is it really worth $220? $150? $75?

All depends who you ask. Hell, for $320 you could have 10-15 transforming hunks of plastic on your shelf, depending on your standards.

If people are paying $300+ now, I'd imagine in their minds they're buying a $200 small batch collectible, and spending another $100 on the convenience of not having to worry about any potential reissue... issues.

Think I'll look into this. Top up a bit a month, as I am absolutely sold on MP52 being my most anticipated takara release since MP36 tbh. I guess I'm lucky I never commited to any of the seekers up until now. I think if I'd have gone with maketoys I'd be just like nah (as good as it looks).

I liked the last Takara seekers a few years ago but grown to dislike them when I saw Maketoys but the new one is way better, I'll buy all the Takara seekers but I'll definitely buy them all again when FT does them

Feel bad for the people getting this guy from BBTS, Im so impatient I couldnt have waited any longer for this amazing figure

Remember guys. As long as the price is below MP-44, it's still cheap.

So, how late to the party is BBTS expected to be on this guy? (based on other FT releases)

So you got an entire second figure on the house? If so, that's pretty badass...

I just got Thomas and he's definitely got the weird left knee thing. Does this actually effect transformation or anything other than just looking weird only if your specifically looking for it?

It would be wild if this is the last new FT figure ... definitely would be true to the spirit of 2020 :)

I dont understand where people are coming up with them giving me a second one for free. That just doesn't make sense. Of course I had to send back the defective unit. Other retailers have given me shit in the past an made me pay all shipping. Rob called me personally to discuss my options and sourced a new unit even though they were out of stock. They always treat me right.
