I forgot how compelling this guy is. Such a cool character design.

I bought Kultur when he first came out, and I liked him a lot. But at the time I was getting frustrated with Hasbro's stuff and was sure I'd never have a complete collection of what I wanted at CHUG scale so I sold off all my Re:Formatted stuff. Now that WfC has me loving CHUG again I don't think I'll try to re-buy all my old Re:Formatted stuff (since MMC's scale is slightly bigger than the WfC scale), but I do believe I'll be re-buying Kultur at least.

    @mikeszekely -

Are you attempting a “full” collection of deluxe/WfC stuff? You could have just kept on going with the reformatted stuff and grabbed voyagers from other companies (even Hasbro) when they put them out.

I have quite a large collection of voyager sized IDW/Comic figures. I don’t want a “full set” so to speak; but I’m just happy with what I get at this scale from my favorite companies:

I still think the DJD would look good with your current size/set up. You may even have a bit of fun with things fitting easier inside Tesarus’ chest.

I was never a "geewunner". Just didn't like the comics at first, gave them another shot, ended up liking them.

Ok, so I am first and foremost a geewunner. Don't get me wrong, I own, read, and love IDW (especially MTMTE/Lost Light), and some of those versions are the definitive versions of those characters for me. But I wanted good G1 representations for most of my bots, especially the first two seasons' characters, and by the time Combiner Wars was hitting I was getting frustrated with Hasbro's distribution issues, poor quality, and occasionally odd designs. For awhile I was supplementing official with 3P- in addition to a lot of Re:Formatted stuff I had stuff like Hegemon, Mania King, the iGear Raptors, etc, but 3P was shifting to MP-scale and, like I said, Hasbro was just getting frustrating. So I swore I'd quit CHUG entirely- sold off a lot of the 3P CHUG stuff I had, gave away a lot of my official stuff. I decided to focus mostly on G1 MP stuff, with the occasional other figure that grabbed my fancy (like GT's Prime and Megatron, TFC's S.T. Commander, etc). My mistake was that I bought Siege Megatron and Siege Optimus out of curiosity, liked them, and wound up buying almost every WfC figure Deluxe and up released, including most of the Gen Selects releases. And I do dig them quit a lot.

So yeah, I do think a lot of the Re:Formatted stuff is too big. While I think they're good toys I'm not really interested in tracking down something like their Rodimus or their Drift now. I honestly don't know that I'll budget for the whole DJD with everything I've currently got on preorder. But I want my Tarn back. I ordered one pretty much immediately after my previous post.

What a journey, my friend, haha.

I consider myself more of a naturalized geewunner. Grew up on Bay, Animated and Prime. Love Animated and Prime, and I still hold the first 3 Bay movies close to my heart, AoE is still alright, TLK is just a big steaming meh at most. With me mostly bowing out of Transformers in-between DOTM and AoE, and me only really seeing TLK because of tradition. But both the hype for Bumblebee and finding out that Masterpiece exists got me back into Transformers, and the IDW comics turned Transformers into a forever aspect of my entire life, haha.

The bread and butter of my Transformers collection is easily MP G1, with IDW CHUG being my only major other trail-off. Going mostly with the 3 seasons of the cartoon, with a couple cherrypicked JP G1 characters so far (Hardhead, Sixshot, Headmaster Jr's, Ginrai, Star Saber, etc), and then outside of that, if there's anything that really tickles my fancy, say, Dream Star's upcoming Superion, i'll have them somewhere separate as a standalone piece.

I personally don't have a problem with Reformatted's size by line, moreso on a figure-by-figure basis. I personally think Tyrantron is a bit too small for my taste, for example. Still love him, though.

Super excited that I finally have all the cards lined up to have a full DJD set, gonna ship out Helex and my Tarn reissue soon, have Tesarus in hand and love him despite some paint chips on his thighs, have Nickel & The Pet and ADORE them, and Vos and Kaon we're all still waiting for the reissue for till next year, bleh. If I had the chance to pay that much for Flame Toys Tarn, now knowing he's virtually the same size as Kultur, I would.

    I grew up on G1.

Didn't care much for Beast Wars (took 4 times to get through the series). Never got into the Unicron Trilogy or Animated.

I quite enjoyed IDW's take on Transformers lore.

Thus, my collection is primarily MP (for the G1 stuff) with some IDW CHUG and legend mixed in (on their own shelves).

Oh, thank God. I'm not sure I could handle those two, Tess, and Optus Plexus all in December.

Now I'm wondering if these things will be in stock soon enough when I have to ship everything out, as my Kultur did NOT get the POL extention like my Exhaust, Mors, and Nickel/Pet combo, so the deadline is some point in February.

Methinks this may be the time where you consider shipping some if not all of that so you can get it before Christmas and then build up that Pile when the rest come around, ESPECIALLY considering how consistently BBTS have been getting products in late.

I was kind of hoping to get the DJD all in one fell swoop since besides them, the only other one in the POL is selects Exhaust.

Same. Though shit happens, and I got a good amount of stuff already en route and releasing before a likely release of the two.

Just got this guy, and I love him. Does his shoulders terrify anyone else? Are there any widespread flaws I should be cautious of?

The hinge joints to raise/lower them are a little stiff, but as long as you’re not completely roughhousing them, they should be fine
