The modular figures are a step towards this.   And it really feels like the CGI guys looked at the alt modes and the bot modes for Galvatron/Stinger and went "Shit I don't know how to get from A to B...just have them explode in to cubes."

And may I add kudos to HasTak for introducing modular Transformers by just sliding them in to the regular retail pattern and actually finding moderate success by doing something fun with them. I really hope they keep going beyond WfC because it feels like something they could explore deeper if they wish.

 

Wait wait what\'s with the Ectotron price? From the official release thing it says 49.99, but on Target it says 59.99

I really hope they fixed the legs on B-127 because Cluffjumper\'s legs are a friggin\' mess that doesn\'t hold together. Other than that I like the mold and will probably pick this up anyway. Dino looks pretty good too.

My stance on Dino having no ferrari mode is that it's a shame but also I don't care because a Ferrari composed out of hasbro toy plastic with no red paint would always look dull anyway. If they weren't going to slather this thing in paint (and they weren't) it is not a biggie.

didnt think ectotron would make a comeback so would they do the same to gigawat cause gigawat is BTTF 1 and 2 so would they make a reissue and it would be BTTF 3 ? but i didnt expect cybertron b-127 that blew my socks off some with dino. dino looks good and although he\'s not a ferrari he looks spot on but the rims on him are ok-ish

I still don’t understand why people call him or think they should call him Mirage? They LITERALLY called him Dino in the movie

 

His original DOTM toy was called Mirage and I believe he was also called Mirage in the IDW comics.

The ss bumblebee optimus of practically perfect for example, as is the ss jetfire, off-road bumblebee, bonecrusher, brawl and ss-38 optimus

Going into the past we got some good figures free from innacurate kibble, like terradive, mindwipe, lockdown, seaspray, highbrow, dotm jolt, skyhammer, knockout and hailstorm

Although most of them weren't in the movies

I also prefer the rotf deluxe ratchet over the ss one as it's a more enjoyable transforming toy than the ss one

 

I'm well aware of BttF 3 but as you said, that was in the 90's. This Ectotron repaint is to homage the upcoming Ghostbusters movie coming out in a few months
