Understood, I'm just saying there are so many members here who would be the target audience, surely someone bought it or saw it at 50 on Pulse, unless it was like a blink and you miss it thing.

 

this is a site where the same question gets asked a dozen times in a day because they never bother to look at previous pages. Lower your expectations

 

I could be mistaken on pulse selling it for $50, but that still doesn’t change that the first release was $50 at GameStop

 

I might have to pick this guy up. He doesn\'t really match WFC styling, but he matches SS86 in just about all departments sans ankle tilt.

 

Swing and a miss!  This should\'ve been an Ecto-1A retool instead.

 

Kinda dig the extra detail in paint, may be worth it to me

 

Not a fan of the head, not the \"cr@pple damage\" paint on the bonnet.

not surprisingly, this exclusive is hanging around for a bit at that price

 

I definitely prefer this version of Ectotron. The original one, while nice just looked too 'new' for my taste. That one was giving me 'straight-off-the-factory-line' pristine 'Autobot warrior robot' vibes.

This one with it's faded white, 'rust', 'seen a few things' deco and it's 'can't be too careful' headsculpt (which I like a lot better than the original) ticks the nostalgia boxes for me.(the original Ghostbusters era was decades back, not to mention Ecto-1 was a second-hand vehicle even then, having originally been an ambulance).


It makes me wonder if there's a chance of a Top Gun 'original movie' deco Maverick Transformer, which is what I was hoping for. (though I may change my mind after Top Gun : Maverick comes out).

 

Looks like sombody took some catsup and smeared it on the hood. Love the headsculpt. But thats about it.

 

I'm thinking Ray got startled when Ecto first transformed.

 

At least I understand the justification for it here, but I'll never be a fan pre-weathered Transformers.

While the head looks better (IMO), I just haven't been able to pull the trigger on any of these crossovers other than MP-10. I want to love them (big GB and BTTF fan) and they seem well done, but for some reason a GB (or any other media) established Transformer like Optimus Prime makes sense to me, but it just doesn't do it for me the other way around with a generic bot.

 

Hey has anyone noticed in the comic cover that comes with this version his leg is going between the two cables on the neutrino wand? The moment he needs to run or aim. Ectotron is gonna need that face plate

 

I admit, when it was mentioned that a new GBxTF figure would be announced today, I was hoping that it would be a ER Prime in the MP-10GB deco from last year. But it makes sense that Ectotron would be repainted to tie in to Afterlife. I appreciate the new weathered apps to mimic Ecto in the Afterlife promos but that and the new face plate (and the higher price for the comic and extra figurine) is just not enough for me to warrant another purchase.

But I still hope that Hasbro will eventually do a Ecto-1A redeco/remold with the newer roof equipment forming a slime blaster and tank and maybe give us a third retooled head where the goggles can move up or down.

 

Unfortunately I already used the coupon last week. I PO'd to be safe. Am hoping another coupon comes around and will reorder if it hasn't sold out yet.
