I mean, I think I've made my biases very clear so of course I'd love to see more GOOD UT figures, but the fact that Wheeljack NEVER got any love, especially with how similar he is to a standard G1 bot like Sideswipe is baffling. It's so easy.

Good job! These are the first decent pics that I've seen for Earthrise Arcee.

 

Home now, so to cover the rest of my recent haul:

Allicon: simple animation - that's fine, and was actually a bit refreshing after some precious fiddly transformations.

Alt mode arms that hang off in both modes. I wish they'd hidden them better, but it's not a big deal . Robot mode looks suitably mean and thuggish.

Alt mode: aside from a chest which looks a bit unfinished, I like this. I was impressed that they went to the trouble of giving him two rows of teeth!

His design feels like he is from another toyline, but this isn't a criticism. Has a lot of character.

Runnamuck: I won't harp on about the faux parts on the chest, as others have mentioned it (and I largely agree, but it doesn't bother me that much). I like his robot mode a lot. A mean looking character with a face like a robot Popeye.

Car mode: I like that a lot, although transforming him was a bit fiddly in places.

Overall I like this figure a lot. I have an issue though. What's with the fake wheels?

They're attached to his heels in robot mode, and I'm assuming they are a homage to the original battlecharger toy, which I think had a gimmick using the four wheels on his feet.

Trouble is, in car mode they hang down from the bottom at the same level as his real car wheels, so you end up with a six wheeled car, two of which just scrape along the ground .

The wheel is part of robot parts (including the robot chest which a faux car top) hanging down. Wheels aside it's not as apparent as with other figures.

Overall a nice figure.

I saw this with my Runnamuck, I pushed up on the wheels a bit more and they had one more "click" in them which hid them much better.
Maybe try to push them into the leg a little more?

 

It's really jarring to have a Decepticon battle platform that isn't the teeny dinky ones included with other Leader-class figures or a full-blown Titan like Trypticon.


Maybe I can have Runamuck and Runabout stationed with Nemesis Prime, but for now the military Micromasters get to populate it.

 

Amazing what a few small changes can do for a figure! This is how it should've been done in the first place!
I think I wouldn't even mind a few dollar price bump if they could finish off the details like this, especially for a main character.

 

It's kinda what I'm hoping for. It really makes the launch setup there feel a bit more realized to me. And I don't need to buy Doubledealer again, to make my super rocket base! I've got to save some money up next year and track down an Omega Supreme instead.

Downside is that'd probably require a new mold. Not a lot of Sattilite alt modes I'm afraid. Though the Requiem Blaster trio do have a good chance of getting remade if we get an Armada Homage.

Well good news, remember how much they reused the Classics Bumblebee? And considering that Ectotron's getting a reissue as a Target exclusive... Hopefully down the line before too long this Bumblebee will get used again, in a way you can find and afford. I want one too, but my local Wal-Marts suck, and I've been avoiding them anyways.

Funny, cause he actually saved the day a lot in the first season and a half. Felt like have the episodes it was either Trailbreaker saving the day with his forcefields, or Hound with his holograms. The other half was calling the Dinobots to bail them out.

And I got my Fasstrack today. Not since Combiner Wars Powerglide have I seen such a dubious attempt to make a smaller Transformer a weapon for a bigger Transformer. Needless to say, I love it. Got to go back through the thread and find the shield configuration that someone made for Fasttrack. Already did one for Airwave, and as far as I'm concerned Scorponok cannot have enough shields.

 

Can anyone figure out a way to set up sky lynx and some micro bases like countdown's rocket base?

 

That was the idea, yeah. Sky Lynx was going to have been packed with a new mold of Astroscope but that got nixxed for... reasons.
