So much for accuracy with that backpack. And color of the internal robot parts. And actually having the right weapons for that specific scene.

Wow. They literally did a better job with car accuracy for the throwaway drones based on Chevy prototypes back in 2007 than this. And those didn't even appear in the goddamn movie.

Dino looks good, I fully expected him to look like a turtle shell with chicken legs like most SS deluxes but I'm happy to see that Hasbro actually gave a damn about kibble and tried to compress it.

They still haven't fixed the clear plastic on the Cliff mode so pass.

Starscream is based on an oversaturated render. Decent mold but his colors need to be muted and some silver paint apps.

When they can’t use the rights for these vehicle modes do they really need to make them look that ugly?

With how long Dino has been delayed and in production, I’m sure HasTak tried their hardest to get the license, otherwise it wouldn’t have taken so long.

Heck, they also put more effort in the vehicle mode of the original deluxe Sideways from ROTF. It’s amazing that, in the 11 years since then, Hasbro has had a hard time creating fake cars that do a good job of looking like their real world counterparts without stepping on any legal toes.

Its a balancing act of trying to make the vehicle look similar enough to the real thing that it could be called a passable attempt to replicate it...while at the same time leaving it vague enough so that it can't actually be called an accurate attempt because then that would be stealing...I don't know if it's called Intelectual Property if we're talking about the design of a car, but there's some legal issues that come from actually trying to use the appearance of another product without the proper license. It's the same reason why to date we don't have MP Jazz, as Porsche absolutely will not allow it.

Oof, that's a really good point. Though I thought the ROTF deluxe Sideways looked close enough to the Audi.

I still can't get over the fact that this is real. Alt mode looks a little mistransformed, especially in the rear, but as far as a not-Ferrari goes it works pretty well. I might have to swing for this once it hits retail.

Also holding out for an SS Que, given the original DOTM toy wasn't widely available and apparently wasn't all that great anyways.

Considering that he behaves like a child, maybe he just hasn't got his name yet?

Reminds me of the funny line from DOTM:

Mrs. Witwicky: "oh wow, your car reminds me of Bumblebee.....if Bumblebee turned into a sad piece of shit."

Damn, that’s hella disappointing about Dino’s alt mode. I wonder why Ferrari was willing to allow their car to appear in the film but wouldn’t allow toys of it? Strange.

Maybe next time they make a movie they don’t use cars from companies that are going to bitch about being made into toys.

If they got too close to an actual Ferrari, they'd take legal action.
