So it comes in more than two colors, a Magnus and a yellowish/orange one(Toxitron?).
The Nemesis ones looks such an oddball choice I almost want to buy it.

 

Perhaps it can charge colours via (water) temperature, or it's just "Chinglish" (or even not true, and it's just available in two different colours via two different toys).

I have no issue with entirely optional parts-forming.  

But if the figure can't stay in one piece when going mode to mode, I count that as poor design, especially for such a basic core character type like Cliffjumper or Bumblebee.

Just add it to any of Prime's quotes:

- "Autobots, transform and..."

- "One shall stand, one shall..."

 

The entire line on the whole is scaled smaller, while the pricing has jumped 30% - 50% (!) There is still at least some correlation between size and value. It's a pill that's already hard to swallow, but it would be a bit easier if he actually fully transformed instead of incorporating a bullshit shortcut in lieu of quality engineering consistent with our expectations of the line.

You and I are apparently going to just keep going round and round on this. The design cannot be described as broken if it works as it was intended to by design. You can not like it all you want, but calling it broken is a factual falsehood. And on a whole, the line is not that much smaller than the Prime Wars trilogy, figures still use roughly the same amount of plastic and the engineering expectations have increased with more articulation. If you don't like it as a preference then that is fine, but say that rather than calling it broken and bullshit.

Ultimately this tangent has nothing to do with knockoff toys though so we should honestly probably cut it out and get back on topic. Agree to disagree?

 

Not necessarily a KO but I was looking at an Ali listing for this combiner that I was debating about getting from sirtoys and thought the names of some of the individual bots were amusing. The “shark” one in particular gave me a good chuckle.

By a fraction yes.
Their shoulder pretty much line up, but the KBB Bee is more squat and wide like a sumo, while cliff stands leaner. The actual height difference to shoulders or head is very minimal. Like maybe 1/2 a head taller with cliff. and both you can adjust by bending their knees anyhow depending on your preference.

 

its that same MFT / MB KO from ages back, its been in like 1/2 dozen or so different packages depending on what region it was being sold in. My one came from china, but some dide it make it to eastern states here in OZ in different packaging yet again. I've seen I think at least 3-4 diff packaging styles and they repacked it a bunch of times.
