Hey potential variant for gigawatt I think. The neck joint on my is far more flexable without mods and can move all the way back and forward wirh only the backpack stopping the head from going further back.
letting enough clearance for transformation into alt mode without scraping off the time circuits. I've transformed mine over 20 times by now

I just got mine yesterday and I believe it's like yours. I didn't have any trouble transforming without removing any paint from the doors or the time circuits. I find with the doors you can kind of pull on the parts to avoid paint scraping. Or maybe mine is just fixed. Not sure.

My opinion on the figure overall is that it's awesome except for the $60 price tag in Canada. Leader class figures are $70 here and Ectotron was $60 so I feel like Gigawatt was a tad too high.

Oh and I thought I read most of this thread but I don't remember seeing anyone mention that the right flap on the box is different from the left side so it can hinge at the bottom and open like the truck ramp in the movie. And of course there's an image of that from the movie on that side as well. I thought that was a really nice touch! Very cool stuff.

Does anyone have a clear stand recommendation for this guy? I would like to display him flying in alt mode.

With a few cosmetic modifications you could easily turn this guy into M.A.S.K.’s Thunderhawk and give him Matt Trakker’s helmet for a retooled head.

Well, I started tonight---and realized it's RIVETED together at the knees. Can't disassemble the back half. Can't get good angles/access to paint many of parts, impossible to remove and spray others. So, my plan has been cut back drastically, and now it's going to be more of a "correcting a few things that really stand out", rather than really trying to make it 100% correct. :(

Undecided on the flux bands. I was originally going to remove them and repaint them silver (they should 95% silver, with black just for the attachment brackets) but they seem to be VERY firmly attached/glued, and even with access from behind for a few of the mounting points, I'm pretty sure they'd break in multiple places if I forced the issue. So I may just paint the "center band" silver.

Well, it's not a rivet, but it's a flathead pin. Those started to get used more starting with Siege figures in place of screws and much more prevalent in Earthrise with some figures even having no screws. The last Generations figure I recall having actual rivets is Siege Rumble mold.

They are removable but there's a high risk of damage. Unlike simple pins which have a knurled end keeping it place, flathead pins have ridges keeping them in place. If you try to force them out, you'll likely crack and break the joints. In order to remove properly, you would need to use a soldering iron to heat up the pin and push it out from the other side...all without slipping and causing melt damage to surrounding plastic. The flathead pin surfaces are relatively slippery and it's easy for the soldering iron to slip.

It's not just the knees on this figure, I also see flathead pins in the ankles, wheels, hips, elbows, 3 in each shoulder assembly, one between the door hinges, and the hood hinge.

Don't be ridiculous... He's posting them with his phone or computer. Probably took them with his camera though ;)

And non sarcastic answer, gamestop has already shipped their stock, got mine from there.

It's my car! I took the pictures in a local park.

As a side note, the faux brushed stainless steel finish on Gigawatt is a pretty admirable attempt at simulating the real thing.

Dang it i was hoping to buy a new Gigawatt off of Gamestop in the hopes of getting the fixed version but looks like they sold out. Transformed mine a few times and the number 9 hasn't scratched off too badly yet but a bit of the bottom is noticeably gone.
