They are. And so I largely ignore them. I don't buy the toys. I don't normally post in the forums. They have their fans, and t Don't you also have a VAT?
There was a complete TFA shockwave for $12! I was about to get it and then Someone bought It! I want to scream My heart literally broke
That truly sucks. I had the purple one. It was pretty cool toy and you'll have fun with it once you eventually get one. I have a handful of rants tonight. I have an incomplete g1 octopunch. Claws pegs broke off when I was a kid. I thought I had both guns for some reason but I don't for some reason. I'll probably never "officially" complete it. Shapeways has repo parts except for the white gun. I wish I could talk about that I'll never get G1 Jetfire without sounding entitled. Im watching a review & it's such a nice toy beyond most anything from the early 80s. It's market value is beyond what I'm comfortable to spend & can't be reissued as a transformer. Probably never be reissued in any form outside Japan, you know as macross. Why doesn't SS86 Grimlock have sword!? I don'tgivanumbertwo about no Wheelie over a Grimlock red sword. "GIJoe classified"? More like "Roadblock blocking up the pegs Classified" am I right? Should have given a better gun design (sorry it's not transformers it just came out) Why doesn't earthrise Prowl have shoulder guns? He's going to feel so stooopid when he's the only one to show up without shoulder guns. Why cant they make every side of earthrise optimus lower legs blue? It's funny because it doesn't bother me that siege optimus lower legs is not all blue. Does anyone really, ever, honestly display MP44 with that Starscream in disguise accessory? I mean for a whole day? Why does my copy of mp BW Megaton have to have a really small stress mark on a foldy piece? It's all I think about when I look at him. What does the folding black piece on earthrise Cliffjumpers gun really supposed to do? Why can't they include "animation error" accessories with masterpiece for that cartoon accurate effect?
I can't comment for anything else other than to say Prowl and Grimlock's missing weapons are due to them not making an appearance in the cartoon, as the lines strive for cartoon accuracy. If you agree with that call or not, I won't debate. I'm indifferent, just.. there ya go. I believe the black piece for Cliff levels the backside of his car mode out when you use the skis, get the back wheels off the ground and have him sit level.
I will have to checkout about Cliffjumper. I've searched for an image of Grimlock with a sword from the cartoon and nothing is showing, I distinctly remember playing with my blue bluestreak while watching the cartoon when I was a little kid and grimlock was always using a sword all the time! If what you're saying is the case then that makes sense about no sword.
I believe Sludge or Snarl used a sword a lot in the cartoon but Grimlock primarily stuck to his gun and the sword was in a lot of the comics, if I remember what I read right.
?? Is this a masterforce/victory/zone thing? I'm only aware of brainstorm from rebirth/marvel comics and he always had a faceplate.
Especially since removing parts has been part of Transformers since the very beginning. I don't know about you, but my G1 Starscream was like 50% removable parts. Not to mention the fake heads on Ironhide and Ratchet. That's my Brainstorm.
So what, it being done before suddenly makes it okay on figures so much more advanced than early g1 figures?
He has a faceplate in the media I have watched and read. Without it he looks like that weird picture of Optimus with a mouth.
Yes. If I could handle something as a child, I can handle it as an adult. I am ok with that. It's not a big deal to me. They can make the figures look nicer. Runamuck's faux roof-chest looks better than Sunstreaker's real roof-chest. Heck, the recent weaponizers are showing just how much fun parts-forming can really be.
I think this whole fake parts/partsforming thing gets into what exactly people want out of their Transformer toys. Like, if you want a cool action figure that looks like how they did on the cartoon, then it's not an issue. But if you prefer the whole puzzle aspect of a toy that changes from a robot to a vehicle or animal or whatever, then they can be considered a cheat. (I mean, Optimus' truck grill abs was simple yet damn clever, but now it's always a fake, which really goes against what made it clever in the first place)
