    Picture is absolutely based.

And yeah, as much as I absolutely love Amber...she badly needs a rework in order to be even remotely comparable to others given her pyro abilities seem geared more toward exploration and puzzles as opposed to actual combat where she becomes a liability (not being able to immediately detonate the bunny unless you've obtained two more of her by the wish system or whatever is absurd, that should have been a default ability). Of course, I just need more characters in general, the only ones besides the default four that I have are Noelle, hydro sword boy, Sucrose, and Barbara. Trying to get fire chef girl but I'm having trouble even clearing the first three rooms of Spiral Abyss.

@Megatron118 Again. The figure is still pretty great. He is worth owning - especially being the only pretty darn good Tarn we have that can actually transform (and the transformation is fantastic and satisfying).[/QUOTE]

The greatest irony there being that the transformation alone makes him the best version if you consider his addiction to Transforming burns out cogs fast enough that he had to make a deal with Pharma to harvest enough to feed his need.

Can agree, before I sold my first Kultur, which originally was a secondhand eBay copy in which I sold in favor of this reissue, absolutely adored him. Still hold him in high regard despite the apparent issues though, such as the odd shoulders, to name one. He was one i'd VERY often just pick up and mess around with, haha.

I'd absolutely substitute in Flame's Tarn if I could, but the motherfucker's $400 of course. Always thought he was at least an inch taller, so i'm genuinely surprised to see that there's only a 7mm difference in size between the two.

Also very surprising to hear that apparently Iron Factory's Tarn is the most accurate. Not every day you see a Legends somehow out...accura...tizing...? a CHUG or MP figure.

Is it hot in here or is it just me?

I dunno how this thread became all about Genshin Impact all of a sudden. We really should get around to making a proper thread about that...

I don't think so. I think the flame toys Tarn loosk cool, but I'm sticking with my Kultur. I mean, its always a case of whether you like it - there always will be people who will prefer a different version Some people love it, others prefer something else. The truth is that ultimately its up to you which one you want. Personal preference. And if you have a figure that somebody, or even a lot of people don't like - so what? It's your collection, your money - get what you like, not what others tell you to like. Sure, ask around about quality, materials, and so on, but the ultimatele choice is your. It's not a race to create a collection that will please everybody.

Yeah, Flame Toys’ version is awesome but the proportions are definitely more stylized. I just don’t like how giant his shoulders and stumpy his legs are. It looks pretty cool for the Fallen retool they’re doing, but for Tarn not so much. I agree about IF’s one. If some upscaled that to Kultur size, that’d be interesting.
For my wallet’s sake, I’m hoping PX doesn’t make one : lol :p  They should make other IDW characters that don’t have good figures yet. Like a MP scale MTMTE Megatron. Or Nautica and Velocity. Or Stardrive. Or Mistress of Flame...

    Don’t tempt me

Honestly, I was never a big fan of this figure. I got him because everyone said he was cool and great, so I got him and was rather disappointed once I had him in hand. He's just kinda... Boring. Transformation's basic and the figure doesn't have the same energy that's present in the comic artwork. Which sounds weird, since he's quite accurate to the art, but I can't help but feel something's missing? Like, he's almost there. I think it's just that there may be a bunch of little things in the tooling that causes him to fall a bit too short of the mark.
That, and I find the cannon severely hampers the range of motion in his arm, constantly banging up against his shoulder. Just unfun.

    Just my :2c:

    O

Can kinda see what you mean with Tarn's stocky build. Though to me, his model from the comics itself looked at least a tad bit stocky, while Flame definitely ramped that up a bit more.

    tarn1.jpg

And The Fallen ABSOLUTELY went uber stocky, no doubt.

PX practically will have my money the second BEFORE they announce a MTMTE Megatron, haha. Love Tyrantron, but there was always room for improvement with him.

I’m with you man, my Kultur came in yesterday and I love it. Soo badass looking, of course if you compare it to flame toys which is 4 times more expensive , it’ll be a little meh. Try picking up a calidus and then you’ll see some liberties in capturing a characters appearance. (Not that I don’t love my calidus too)

I really want an upgrade kit for a new pair of hands and elbow fillers. The empty elbows are another point of contention on an otherwise fantastic figure. I dont mind that it would hinder transformation, mine is always in bot mode (the important mode)

Oh my god yes, I’d buy a megatron upgrade so fast even in MP scale. The biggest offender is the color there Otherwise I like the mold tbh.

Minor thing, but I’d want an upgrade kit to also include a new head for him that has some scarring on his face like in the comics and Milne’s illustration below (and like, actual paint for the face too).

I don’t really like Tyrantron at all tbh. The headsculpt is about all I care for. He just doesn’t have the proper proportions. If someone can just make the Flame Toys furai model, but scale it to MP scale, and make it a figure instead of a model kit, that’d be the perfect IDW Megatron. One day...one day

Definitely came as a bit of a surprise when I opened him up and he had a bit more of a... gold? bronze? tint to his silver rather than a regular silver.

I think my bigger problem with Kultur's hands is that they seem so small compared to the rest of him, and compared to other versions of Tarn. Or, heck, even other members of the DJD that MMC has done, compared to their size.

I don't think hands that were at least 50% larger would hinder transformation at all, really.

One of my dream 3Ps would be to take the basic transformation of Generations Springer, replace wheels with treads (details not entirely worked out) & have a Megatron that could be IDW or Animated depending on alternate heads

Finally got my reissue the other day and he's a LOT of fun. Only issue I have with him tho is the little tab things hanging off his treads get in the way of his cannons when I try to pose him and it's more annoying than one might think. That said I'm stoked for the other four.
