I can't remember if it's been confirmed if Verte's a he/she, but that figure really has a nice mix of features that could go either way without being over the top. Just a great looking bot/alt. Absolutely love these skeleton dudes.

I like the skeletal dino modes.  Not too sold on the \"robot\" modes.

I really, REALLY like how Vertebreak looks, I’m not sure that I am in for the skele-crew just yet. I would really enjoy it if in some fiction the fossilizers/skeleton-bots were their own faction and had a significant reason for being skeletons.

Except, in the official Beast Wars comic, all the "abandoned" protoforms were activated, and ended up mainly going back to Cybertron:

Kind of wish they made this a cross over line looking at the designs of these. Missed opportunity .

I believe this is supposed to be a Stygimoloch. That species has been invalidated thanks to new allowances in paleo science involving destructive bone matrix analysis. \'Stygi\' was actually a subadult Pachycephalosaur. Forgive me if I\'m off on a detail, Im actually an archaeologist, not a paleo guy.

I didn't really care for the other bone dino thing, but this looks pretty cool.

During the stream John Warden said it was a Dracorex because he and his son loved the Dracorex name.

(The Vertebreak segment starts at 1:46:18)
Looking on Wikipedia (since I'm not in any field related to dinosaurs, bones, etc), both Dracorex and Stygimoloch are juvenile Pacycephalosaurs, so they are probably very similar to each other.

Vertebreaker has better proportions than Paleotrex (or however that's spelled). Cool looking little bot.

I always get amazed other people remember this show besides me.
And it's funny how Steve Blum's "Starscream voice" is in the dub.

So what parts of Vertebreak are soft plastic? And will he have a chance at surviving the passage of time?

:wtf:  So...It appears The Batman Who Laughs traveled to the Hasbro Dark Universe and thought it would be hilarious if he unleashed them into Transformers G1 BW Universe. That’s my head cannon.
