Tell that to my first run SSPs which were open for a while too. Not sure if there was a different order page, but, here we are 17 months later and I still got squat.
Any one going with NY with the TV Supers, there is a very good possibly that your going to get reemed and like @Flapjacks mentioned: "Store Credit". There is one mention of another Macross Forum that mentions not to get stuff from NY at all costs (and that may include Nin Nin Games as well).
Has anyone seen a link up on the Tamashi site for the TV Supers? I have a buddy that can order some from JP for me but I can't find them up yet. We're doing these as a test run to see how feasible it is for him to get stuff (not just for me) over in JP and ship directly to me using the DHL business account I just set up. We're going to have to go through a couple of test runs to see how cost effective it is.
I thought the DX Roy stand was a bonus for everyone who preordered but it seems to be another release: Anime-Export just opened a preorder for the bundle (28k).
NY is still either filling or cancelling orders for the movie strike/super set. Would highly recommend not ordering from them.
And they have not shipped mine nor replied to my tickets requesting a change in shipping or to cancel and get store credit. I 2nd the motion to not do business with NY.
And so it begins... My Roy DX order at ohmyprimus was cancelled and refunded this morning, so this will become plan B. Thanks, @Knightdramon ! Even though it's above MSRP, the price before shipping is still less than what I was charged for the same at ohmyprimus so I'm okay with it. If I do end up syncing with some other shop selling closer to MSRP, then I might consider two copies for Roy but we'll see how it goes.
Same here, but I’ve been reconsidering my need for a complete DX run so I’m not that despondent over it. Ultimately I find the Arcadia more fun to handle so I may be content with what I have and keep my fingers crossed Arcadia will do a 1D and 1A to be my full set scale.
I'd love it if Arcadia would even announce a 1D or 1A right now. Then I could just relax and not worry about not having one in my collection. Although I've managed to get my FOMO under control lately and just roll with what I can and can't get in my collection.
Arcadia will not to a 1d as stated by Lolicon on MW due to the fact that its not popular. As for the 1a, I have no clue. I think that Jenius mentioned that why would Arcadia and Bandai even out of the same valks at the same time? They would literally cause too much damage. Arcadia is more catered to the higher demographics as noted in the PF items: It's double or more than price of the regular releases.
Yeah, I realize that dropping a 1D for both Arcadia (even hinting at it) would probably not be a wise business decision at this point (especially since they are much smaller). Interesting that some people believe that an Arcadia VF-1D would not be popular because they seem to be aiming more at their PF line. I would be curious to see if the reason Arcadia dropped their current release of their Armored VF-1J is because they knew that Bandai was working on theirs. Sort of give themselves a few extra dollars to fund the next PF line as well as get one last hurrah on their molds before Bandai destroyed any of their sales. I do find it weird that Bandai is doing what you said Jenius mentioned by having two versions out at the same time or nearly the same time. Again, just weird what Arcadia and Bandai decide to drop compared to what the fans will buy and want to buy.
That's f***** crazy! Manda has a glut of the Plain Jane YF-29 Alto's for sale besides Jungle. I'm very close to pull the trigger on a YF-29 or a get a damaged Yammie YF-21 (if it's still there) for delimiter mode.
I like the Arcadia more than the DX in terms of size and playability. Sold my DX 1J and have no regrets and don't plan on getting any DX VF-1 in future. If anything, I'm hoping to at least own a 1A at some point as that is the only model I'm interested to round out my Arcadia VF-1 collection. I'll still get a Macross DX (other than the ones I already have) if I'm able, but only ones that appeal to me.
They've always done this with whatever "leftover stock" they have on highly sought after products but it's usually on release day. The fact that they're doing it before the 28th might mean they have a significant amount of them "leftover" so they're putting them up right now as opposed to having them warm shelves. I'm pretty sure that they'd rather have 3 warming shelves at $350 as opposed to 30.
