Im looking at getting my 14 year old son a historical based transformer for christmas. He usually gets one for himself at tfcon, he didnt get that chance this year. Id love to get that battleship for him i saw a picture of, that would be perfect. But that obviously is not out. For context in his taste, last year he got toyworld bulldog and some weird power core combiners that i never fully understood. but again, historical alt modes. Pictures below of the lad in question. So i can go mp, chug, legends for him. I know there is stuff out there that is available in stock, im just not finding it because I’m not sure what to search for exactly. I feel like there are more out then I’m remembering. anyone got any recommendations of something i can find in stock somewhere?
ToyWorld is also making a WW2 Hot Rod, WW2 Barricade, and they've also released a WW2 version of Bumblebee. It's rumored a WW2 Optimus Prime and and WW2 Megatron are also on the way.
Does it have to be current, and 3P? And how accurate/realistic? Highbrow is a "license-avoiding" P-38 Highbrow (2010) - Autobot - www.tfu.info Highbrow (TF 2010) - Transformers Wiki
Other than Toyworld’s current line, no one except Hasbro back with HFTD highbrow and a few others have done it.
Hi there, Would you want to limit to Second World War themed figures, or are you open to more Cold War stuff? I dont know much about 3rd Party unfortunately, but also build military models and can usually identify the inspiration for many TFs. Alot of the jets from some of the CHUG line are great representations of an about 1/100 scale F-15...the seekers...and the Earthrise ones are more or less larger versions of those CHUG figures. The new Kingdom Warpath isnt a bad representation either, but not sure what tank it would be...close to an M551 Sheridan Vietnam era. Studio Series Helicopters are quite impressive...1970s to 1980s era mostly.... Alot of the 1980s GoBots are closer to actual Second World War vehicles, Zero for instance is quite good. Cheers!
Thank you all for the suggestions and information. It doesn’t have to be ww2. Just a historical transformers in my head I guess I thought more of this had been released
Do you know about Ransack? He's great considering his size. Scout Class Ransack (Transformers, Movie - Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF), Decepticon) | Transformerland.com - Collector's Guide Toy Info There's also MMC's KM-03 Cyclops (Civil War ish ironclad ship), but it is neither cheap nor easy/friendly to transform. (one of their very first efforts)
