I made this mainly because the Transformers PS2 article on TFWiki really didn't clarity what exactly happened behind the scenes. The Transformers game on PS2 was a moderate success, selling 1.29 m copies worldwide, so work quickly begun on a sequel. Which was going to be based on the Transformers Cybertron series, however the game was canceled after a few months, as Atrai sold the license back to Hasbro to stay afloat. The developers repurposed the engine into a new game, called The Big One, which also ended up being canceled. Which was a game about natural disasters and aliens. Beta + Cancelled Krome Studios Melbourne Video Games - Unseen64 Sadly in 2010, the company who developed the game went out of business, damn shame. So what do you think of this? Would you like to see a Transformers PS2 sequel, would you be interested in seeing The Big One come out?
Transformers PS2 has been the best game we've gotten IMO. I loved the open world environments and I think a sequel would've been a great chance to expand the different settings as well as giving us more playable characters.
The Cybertron designs are beautiful, so a tie-in game in the style of the PS2 game with some tweaks and improvements would be one of the best games ever. I'd like to see alien planets (space travel was a big part of the show), different mission types and more of a story
Honestly, if it was possible, frag yeah, in a few other threads I've commented that I was a child of the UT (specifically Energon of all things) so I look back on it fondly, and of all of them Cybertron is by far my favorite (Armada being second), and, certainly in my opinion the 2004 game was unrivaled as the greatest Transformers game until Highmoon came along with WFC and FOC.
