So I recently found Perfect Effect's God Sword (the one scaled for Fortress Maximus) and now I have that on it's way. Either this guy or Omega Prime is going to use it and I'm not yet sure which.

 

I'm honestly surprised they're not making them a removable pistol like the toy had, ah well doesn't bother me too much.

 

I dont think its that far fetched they release it around 2 weeks in December.. just in time for Christmas.

That’s absolutely insane looking already. I can’t wait to get this guy in hand! I genuinely think this might be their best figure yet and I really want to figure out how they’ve engineered his waist swivel. Just hope that the plastic quality doesn’t turn out like Athena..

 

I personally would have liked Rubber tires, but that's just a really minor nitpick. This looks amazing.

I think the tank treads on the trailer are actually rubber, so it could definitely be possible although I suspect they will eventually break down and erode over time or with heavy use which would be unfortunate. I’d personally be happy if they only give the trailer rubber treads to make it easier to roll along and keep plastic on Prime.

 

Yes. That's the stuff. I hope FH continues their method of painting what is necessary and or needed to visually break up the pieces molded in plastic. No need for slathering in the paint here.  

 

I can live with the gold hands, but the white feet gotta go.

 

A bit of an odd choice to go with the Dreamwave color scheme over the toy or animation accurate colors, but it's not like it makes the figure look worse or anything, just a bit odd.

Guess that just means they'll be releasing the white hands animation accurate version at an increased price in a year or two.

 

I mean if you wanna get real nit-picky, the hands should be white, the elbows yellow/gold, the kneecaps white, and the feet blue with yellow/gold toes.


I suspect, though, that they're trying to maintain more consistency with the Super Mode which has the basic colour scheme they've gone for (save the tops of the feet being black). It's inaccurate, but not unreasonable. Plus changing those other colours (especially the feet) could interfere with the alt mode colours.

Fair call. Not familiar with anything outside of the cartoons, though, so would never have picked up on that.

 

I never read the comics myself, someone else pointed it out before. It also does bare a close resemblance to his Deluxe Toy, which that DW in particular appears to be based on given Overrun's presence

 

Yeah, the Dreamwave art and the Deluxe-class toy give precedent for the colors that FH went with, but I think it does make the figure look worse. The feet kind of clash in robot mode, but they stick out like a site thumb in truck mode. I'd have strongly preferred cartoon colors, but it's unlikely to change now and I'm still going to get Naval Commander. I just gotta start looking for blue paint that matches the blue plastic...

 

While I won't argue that you're wrong for thinking so, I like to look at it as breaking up large swathes of color. The white/gray is present all along his lower torso so it doesn't clash in my eyes. If nothing else, ya don't see em in super mode!
