So, not really an eBay scenario, but just had a really fast shipment from PSX arrive yesterday. Shipped via SF Express from Dongguan on 30-Oct, luckily went through Shenzhen instead of Guangzhou, left there on 01-Nov, and... according to tracking, arrived in NYC and LAX on 03-Nov, then got delivered to Western Michigan on the 7th. Really great transit times for free shipping!

 

Alright, I need help. I ordered Nicee from Bababobo00712 off ebay. I have never had issues with him before. He still hasn't shipped my figure. When I emailed him about it, he said that because of Covid and the Tariffs, shipping has gone up and he wants another $5.

Should I pay him? On the one hand, I already paid for it, with shipping. On the other, that's really kind of shady. On the other-other, He's a good guy and I don't think he'd be asking if he wasn't hurting.

Help?

 

Yeah it’s happened to most of us and Covid seems to be jacking up again so it will probably be more common from now to Christmas depending on people’s locations.

 

I'd say yes. bababobo had a good price on the pre-order prior to the crisis, and then was told shipping rates would return to normal but they have not. He's stuck and not big enough to eat the difference. He's been straight up with folks about the situation. So if you appreciate a small entrepreneur that is trying to undercut the big US retailer prices then I'd suggest supporting him. The $5 transaction looks a little shady, but there have been several folks here who have done it and can vouch that it is for real.

 

Prime has been at local post office since 7th, finally received by them on 9th. So here goes tomorrow I finally get my package.

 

I talked about this a bit in a few previous posts, but my recommendation is to go to Baba's own website (create an account if you haven't already, since they have frequent sales, coupons, and no sales tax) and use the shipping difference payment option (x5 for the $5 charge) and email them the transaction number. This way, you have a paper trail, and a whole new PayPal transaction on file.

Personally, if this wasn't Baba or 1-2 other highly trusted sellers, I probably wouldn't have bothered, but I've had nothing but positive experiences with Baba for over 5 years now.

Bummer. Amazon lost my Earthrise Ironhide/Prowl less than 50 miles from my house, and then finally agreed to cover the cost of buying from a 3P seller, who the USPS then sent 5 states over right when it made it 5 miles from my house. They've also been holding a random book for 4 days at that same location 5 miles away as well. Say what you will about the pay and work conditions of foreign mail couriers, but for the last 8 months they've seemed infinitely more competent than my local couriers.

 

Well package was just labeled as delivered. No package, called post office there was no box, no package for my address even though showed delivered. Paypal here I come. Now...who has the KO mpm Prime.

 

ximalac_2 on eBay is still good. Got my Ratbat in just 2 weeks. Would buy from again.

I can confirm section-x is a good seller. Ordered a THF Soundwave from him, and got from Hong Kong to the U.K. in less than 2 weeks, well packed and marked down to boot.

Trying out a seller named liuying424 - who has several red flags, namely just a low feedback total while selling a hot item at a good price - because they had the Netflix WFC Bumblebee. While I'm skeptical because of the price ($40 while it's going for $80 everywhere else), it wasn't a) for me or b) my money, so a shot in the dark didn't bother me as much.

Pretty sure that no one here has posted anything about this seller, but I'll update things once I know whether they're solid or not.

 

Not sure if haron5 has turned scammer or not - I ordered mp35 from him mid August and it still hasn't arrived. I would have chalked it up to a lost package but he didn't respond to my last 2 messages. Odd his profile and listings are still up so I don't know what to think at this point. Anyways I've requested that ebay step in. We'll see what happens...

With regards to that seller he has sold 3 items in the last month (1 MPP10) and 2 of which are non TFs. Actually roller covers for painting. In 6 months he has sold 31 items. This seller isn’t active and certainly not active in the TF market place. They have 50 items for sale in their store. I wouldn’t have bought from this seller.

The fact they are not responding doesn’t bode well.

I would personally start a dispute with paypal (hopefully you used them when paying) and if not get the dispute started with EBay. I forget the time scale eBay give as I normally go via paypal. If you paid via a credit card you can always go via them.

I wouldn’t wait any longer. Get the dispute going asap.

Other concerns would be, does this seller package the item well enough to protect it and assuming it arrives and if damaged do they carry the stock to replace and/or be able to arrange replacement parts.

Before making future purchases from other sellers, post in here for others to assess the seller to help you if you are unsure.

 

Actually I've ordered from him before in the past and he came through but I will definitely start the dispute process right away. Thanks for the advice!

 

Had anyone purchased from seller gackt80gackt81? Prices are decent but in stock/ shipping seems a little dubious. I sent a message about in stock status and getting a better shipping timeframe yesterday and am awaiting a reply, but wanted to check this thread as well.

 

I bought MP-36 from him and i can "vouch" for this seller. Communication wasn't the best and it took a while til the seller
shipped the figure. Shipping was pricey but FedEx is expensive. But i received it and everything worked out fine.

I just bought "Optimus Prime version 3.0 MP44 KO" on November 15th 2020 from mr.brian2009.
We wrote to each other and he was very nice and friendly.
Today 18.11 he sent me the tracking code, ebay gives it as shipped; we hope well.

 

I recently purchased TFC Thousandkills ftom mascotzone on ebay. This was my first purchase with them and will certainly be the last. Ordered Oct 1st, shipped via Yanwen on Oct 12 (I'll grant some leeway there due to the holiday). Took until Nov 3rd before an update showed it in LA. It was picked up that day and sent to a Pitney Bowes facility in Bloomington where it has been sitting ever since with no movement. By contrast, I ordered a TCC Mentarazor from unclebilkyshop.com, who also shipped Yanwen, on Nov 10th. That one is scheduled for delivery on Friday. I can't believe I paid $10 fir this kind of shipping.

Has anybody had any luck shaking the tree with Pitney Bowes, or is it just lost in a black hole until they decide to do their jobs?
