Right it's so confusing right now lol earthrise doesn't seem to be lasting that long. then we have g1 figures in ss and kingdom.
Not when screen accuracy is the whole point. I mean, I can't even find a screencap of G1 Grimlock with his sword.
Because it’s not significant. The only person who can’t accept anything is you not accepting you’re nitpicking over a small hole for a fist that doesn’t expose the entire inside of the arm. I swear this is starting to sound like the entitlement seen from people wanting MP-levels of engineering from CHUG toys at the CHUG pricepoint. It’s not and people are defending stupidity. If it’s supposed to be so screen accurate, then explain the toy-accurate smokey black chestplate. Again, black chest plate. Also, again, it was confirmed by leakers that Hasbro’s planning ALL the Dinobots. People can stop wishing.
Ummm ok then. As people have said before me its a legit reason as they are going for screen accuracy lol
It looks like the clear chest piece is held in from behind by two screws, so it should be easy for a 3rd party to produce a less smoky colored piece to replace it.
The dark chest isn’t screen accurate. So no harm in people wanting him to have a sword that isn’t screen accurate.
Idk, your complaints about a lack of sword also scream entitled nitpicking, especially since you’re writing walls of text about it That’s a fair point, but to pretty much call people stupid for pointing out that the sword wasn’t used in the movie is a pretty problematic perspective
I think he’s pretty cool - but wish they didn’t put screw-holes on one side of his dinosaur head. They don’t kill the figure for me... but I was a bit surprised that they were there. Kinda an eyesore on such a lovely figure. Didn’t a 3p make hole plugs at one point?
People are complaining about the dark chest, too, for exactly that reason. And wanting the sword is fine, I'd take the sword over Wheelie. But mocking people who point out that he never used the sword is immature. If ever the only way you can articulate your argument is to mock the opposition by TyPiNg lIkE tHiS, then you don't really have much of an argument.
While this is definitely true, TO BE FAIR SS has included non-screen accurate figures as well, like Overload (In the sense that he never transforms), Scrapmetal (based on concept art rather than the one that appears in the movie), Crankcase IIRC, the easier ones would be ones like Shadow Raider and Thundercracker. It's not a big deal to me because it'd be super easy to just give him a sword from another Grim.
And to be fair, it's not like anyone would be upset if he came with a sword, it's more Hasbro seeing that the sword was never a cartoon accessory, and decided Wheelie being an extra would be preferable to complete the 86 movie cast. I do think Wheelie is cool, though, especially the way he has ways to firmly attach to Grimlock in both modes. I'd just take the sword over it. I feel like this is either a testament to the quality of Grimlock or the nitpicking of fans (a term I do not use lightly) that he's so good people have to find things to be upset about, as if something as minor as no sword or no trap doors on the forearms are deal-breakers in the face of a toy that outshines the Masterpiece in terms of design and proportions.
DNA Design DK-? $35 - Wheelie upgrade limbs - Replacement tail tips (silver) - Replacement t-rex arms (silver) - Replacement hands/arm covers - Screwhole covers - Sword - Replacement chest cover - Foot soles - Alternate head (red visor)
Grimlock/Dinobots are one of the few TFs I get very picky about, so POTP Grim was never 'fine'. (to me) We're getting back into the territory of discussions on Masterpiece BW Megatron not coming with a rubber duck. - "I don't CARE if he didn't have the duck until he got his Transmetal body! Megs needs a GODDAMN DUCKIE!!!" I'd probably rather Grim came with a sword than that accessory they call Wheelie, but take comfort that many of us probably already have two or three suitable swords already sitting in a parts box somewhere.
Fascinating that this is essentially MP Grimlock, but now at the relatively lower price of mainline toys. Will be interested to see one of these alongside the MP, looks very good.
