I've posted two of them so far in this thread, and there are links directly to the images in this spreadsheet I've been maintaining: Earthrise Space Map project -but I should say that I'm not totally happy with them yet, and I'm continuing to tweak their sharpness and hue. I haven't printed them for myself yet either. Here's a quick data pull from the relevant details in that document: Pieces with blatant copy/paste errors: Arcee Allicon* Smokescreen† Snapdragon† Judge* Doubledealer* Pieces with other errors I intend to address: Sky Lynx (this will definitely be the most difficult piece) Scorponok (this will be the easiest)* * repaired † waiting for additional scans before continuing I'm currently working on Arcee. The most-wanted scans for proceeding with Smokescreen and Snapdragon are: Thrust Runabout GOC Paradron info card GOC Biosphera info card The "Galactic Odyssey Collection" sets include cards with completely un-obstructed views of the featured planets, and almost suspiciously, 3/5 of them depict planets I haven't been able to repair yet due to lack of source material. In the end, their depictions might be unusable, or they might not be necessary if other material turns out to be sufficient, but we'll see. I hope that doesn't turn out to be necessary. And just in case there could be a problem with Thrust, we still don't have complete scans for: Grapple Optimus Prime
Compubotimus, just bring in Fasttrack and we've got all released figures! Still waiting on my Bluestreak so I can rescan for Ikkad.
I just found this potentially very useful image of the GOC4 Dominus info card on the Amazon listing for it: I guess I probably won't be waiting until it comes out in March to get a better scan. I also found these less good, but still maybe useful images on the listings for the Paradron and Biosphera packs: For those interested in the toyline lore, I recommend going to all of the Galactic Odyssey Collection listing pages on Amazon and scrolling way down. They all have little stories down there with photos. They're not the most high-quality proofread writing, but it's something: GOC1: Paradron GOC2: Micron GOC3: Biosfera GOC4: Dominus
Thanks, and now it gets weird. I can't speak for Phil, but Ikkad does at 30oppi. He can't use the existing scan of Bluestreak's piece due to it being 600ppi.
@Compubotimus There's a Bluestreak here: https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/attachments/map-bmp-jpg.28798281/ I don't understand. 600 is double the detail of 300. If it doesn't fit into a 300 image, you just scale it down by 50%. I guess it's moot.
This legit has brought us down to solely Thrust and Runabout! Congratulations everyone! We're down to unreleased figs and repair work! Also 100% convinced Doubledealer is Nebulos but no proof
Sorry if this has been posted. Anyone have the Pounce and Wingspan piece? Don't plan on getting them as I have the takara versions.
Here's my current draft of Doubledealer. This was extremely difficult. I'm hoping and expecting that only Sky Lynx will approach how hard this one was. I believe this planet is Nebulos, but without knowing that for a fact, I left it unlabeled. I also updated Allicon and Judge a little: The urls for them in here are up-to-date: Earthrise Space Map project
My plan is to take these files and some legit pieces to a Kinkos and ask the staff to help me match the scale. They've been good like that for other projects in the past. Back to the repairs: Doubledealer took several hours of meticulous effort, but the problem with Scorponok took like twenty minutes, and I made two versions. It's a fix for a very tiny problem. This version is the whole piece, even though the fix is just a tiny thing on the tip of a little corner: click here -I had to upload it to a weird spot in @Ikkad 's Google drive because it was too big to upload straight to the message board here. This next version is just a little piece of the image above; just the important piece, with a convenient dotted line added so you can cut out and have only the hex where the error fix is: The idea is that this little hex can just slip over and cover up a corner of the giant Scorponok piece, without replacing the entire thing. I haven't decided which of these I'll personally use yet, but I’m leaning toward the smaller piece.
Phil I have Bluestreak's piece and there's no Unicron Horn there. EDIT: oh you mean fixing Charr's orbit thing so it can be replaced
I didn’t mention Bluestreak. I used the border of Bluestreak’s package as a graphic asset, but I do not understand why you’re mentioning it. I don’t plan to replace that piece, I never said I had, and I never said I would. All of my repairs are labeled in the images themselves. I’m treating Bluestreak’s piece as good, and fixing Chaar on Scorponok and Sky Lynx’s pieces. It was a strategic call based on a handful of factors, and it’s the most “accurate” thing to do based on the low-resolution complete map from the Galactic Odyssey Collection box.
Gotta be, it's just mirror flipped & less ringed than the Comics version. Though minus the inner ring, it seems to just about have the two moons. One above and one below the ring.
That’s interesting. I had to check the source material to make sure what you circled weren’t process artifacts, but yeah, they seem to be here: https://www.tfw2005.com/boards/attachments/20201006192746169_0001-jpg.28804282/ Looks like three small orbs there, actually. One got mostly lost in shadow in my version.
