Optimus and Hot Rod only have pinned fingers so that they could hold the Matrix (and not a redesigned version, like Big Convoy's). That wasn't meant to be a standardized articulation shift.
I think they're just limiting that feature for characters who held the Matrix. Hope Kingdom Ultra Magnus has them.
"makes you forget some details like the hollow arms and the use of gold paint instead of yellow" Stop right there, the gold is so much better than what flat yellow would be like, and if it was flat yellow it wouldn't fit right on the mold or with the rest of the line, the gold is a good choice, and it's a lovely shade of gold as well
Wow, looks much better than the renders. So glad the yellow is metallic instead of flat. I think the clear chest panel is probably a smidge too dark, but I'm glad it's not just clear, too. Wheelie is... not good. If he had knees he'd at least be passable, but the ever-bent legs kinda kill him for me. Nevertheless, looking forward to this Grimlock very much.
This figure doesn't exist to me unless they make all 5 Dinobots. For me it's all or nothing. No point in only getting 1 or 2. For now my oversized Volcanicus set has the Dinobots covered.
Say what you want about me for not praising to the high Heavens with you guys; but I do not support theft and I'd rather not see images of stolen toys here. 'Nuff said. (shuts door)
Wow, he looks like u always wanted him. I wonder if I will keep my Masterpiece or just get two of the new Grimlock?
The colors here are an improvement IMO. The more metallic yellow (wouldn't exactly call it gold, but close). Less happy with the dark chest window, as it obscures the sculpted Autobot symbol underneath. There are things here and there I would change if given preference, but as it stands this as close to an ideal Grimlock toy as I've ever seen (so far)
I wonder if the neck is actually the same plastic over more detail that they showed in the renders though, because it seems a waste to hide that detail under a gold painted shell
Given that he didn't show off the packaging for this one, it may not be an official sample. That said, I still don't know why anybody cares. This isn't some small business having their store front vandalised, this is a few stolen samples of toys that probably cost Hasbo $3 a piece to make, in exchange for free advertising and hype. It can't possibly be causing any harm.
