Ugh. Another “approval needed” email from Target for my remaining ER Wave 3 Deluxes! Well, not this time Target! Placed an order on Amazon last night for Sunstreaker & Trailbreaker & lo and behold, instead of 11/23, they’re scheduled to now arrive this Tuesday! I’ll cancel this Target order when I have them in hand. I kept Runamuck in play. Haven’t found him in stock anywhere decently priced yet!

 

I called Target about my backordered Studio Series Cliffjumper and Blitzwing.

They said it has something to do with the vender (Hasbro?) not sending in restocks.

I noticed Cliffjumper and Blitzwing are out of stock on Hasbro Pulse as well.

 

Similar, I managed to order Trailerbreaker and Sunstreak from Amazon.com a few days ago for 17.88 each. The date got moved up and I got charged for it, $35.76, arriving 11/13

Target.com BOGO order for the pair $29.98 from Mar 1, just saw the delay email to 11/20. <--- No confidence it's going to get fulfilled.  

Will cancel once the Amazon order arrives.

 

It’s nuts. They seemed to charge my RedCard earlier in the week for them, but the next day the charge dropped off.

 

Maybe you got one of their pre-order auth holds. Target does that. If one of your auth holds ever fails, they will cancel your order outright.

 

This is why the never get excited when pre-orders for non-exclusives get listed at Target. Especially on sale. They seem to be only marginally better than Walmart at managing pre-orders.

Same here folks. Had the BOGO50 deal also. I'm guessing those orders are first on the chopping block.

 

One reason I recommend gift cards for preorders. Just save them. I was a dummy and threw out my Sunstreaker/Trailbreaker card by mistake so I'm out the gift card money if they don't ship.

Amazon is the only retailer offhand you can safely dispose of unused gift cards for preorders with.

 

I'm curious how their system really works. Is it purely first ordered first sent, some strange algorithm, or what I sometimes see is that it's not all fulfilled by distribution centers, it's also supplemented by store inventory? I ordered Trailbreaker and Sunstreaker in April as part of the $25 off 100 promotion and mine were send to me last week, but my SS Blitzwing from the Feb BOGO50 keeps getting the delay emails.

Which sale(month) did you order your Trailbreaker and Sunstreaker from?

 

I placed mine on March 22nd. I applied a Target Circle discount of 25% off & my standard RedCard 5% off to bring the total down to $35.97. Purchased the same two over the weekend off Amazon. $17.88 for Sunstreaker & $19.99 for Trailbreaker. Had a $5 credit applied which brought the total down to $35.75, arriving this Tuesday! I’m keeping the Runamuck I purchased on February 23 during the BOGO sale, as I’ve not found one at retail in stock.

I got my Amazon order for Trailerbreaker and Sunstreak today. Cancelled the Target.com pre-order.

Supposedly Amazon is getting more Overload's in 1 - 2 months. Hopefully Target gets theirs before then.

 

I see another Asian site (Daming) listing Thrust pre-orders but release listed at same time as Target. Price would be about 2x US price with 2-3 day international shipping (say you want international fedex in comments for this or you get not as fast shipping for same price).

Runabout also listed as well.

 

Considering that the last Target Exclusive, LEadfoot, has been easy to get online, I'd say just wait it out for Target.

 

I saw Trailbreaker, Sunstreaker, FastTrack in my local target for 17.99. Since the price with the BOGO is about 14.99, it's $3 more expensive but I'm sure my target order is going to get canceled so I grabbed them.

Looks like someone got to the Runamucks before me since I think he's in the same case as them.
