That was the best thing in this week's episode. It was intense and it felt personal and real. It very briefly even had me wondering if there wasn't some serious animosity between the two after Moxley delivered the "How will you tell your Mother you're not good enough?" line. Eddie's response was explosive.

Has anybody been keeping up with ROH recently? They've been doing their Pure title tournament, and I think it's been fantastic! Less BS, more wrestling, great promos, great commenting... Just damn! This is what I've been looking for! The lack of any audience is kind of weird, but I think it's positively adding to the presentation in a weird way. It feels more like the wrestlers are in an actual fight without all that background noise. Also, EC3 did a damn fine promo that really caught me by surprise!

    Mox over Kingston
    Kenny over Hangman
    FTR over Bucks
    Cody over Darby
    Hardy over Sammy
    Nyla over Shida
    MJF over Jericho
    Orange over Silver
    Deeb over Kay

I wouldn't put money on some of those though, AEW can make allot of those ongoing stories work either way.

I would agree with most of those honestly. I would not be sad if AEW pulled off the shocker and had Kingston go over Mox and Allen go over Cody. Just based on the promo work between Kingston and Moxley Wednesday night its gonna be heartbreaking to watch Kingston lose. I think its time for Allen to get a push.

I think the elite will sweep the PPV. Cody retaining. Omega winning. Bucks becoming tag champs. All of them are in the process of turning heel. What's more heelish than the guys who run the company winning the big matches, titles, and title shots? Doesn't have to be a corrupt Vinny Mac Corporation or Authority... just the top guys having EVERYTHING going for them, fueling their character egos.

He said he's not planning to use it in AEW, moreso for his other stuff, like his TNT talent show and acting gigs. I think that might have been one of the terms for him getting the name back.

    Kingston beats Mox.
Page beats Omega, Omega goes full Cleaner and destroys everything AND everyone around the ring BUT Hangman Page...he can't bring himself to do it. YET.
Cody goes full heel in beating Darby
    FtR, retains double turn
Orange over Silver in the waste of talent match of the night
    Sammy over Matt, Sammy turns
MJF Jericho double count out or something like that

    So Full Gear predictions...

Mox vs Kingston: As good a showing as Kingston has had lately, I think Mox retains so that we have a heel Kenny take the belt from him. It's the logical move, given their history. Plus I just can't see Kingston winning as it would book them into a bit of a corner. Kingston pretty much has to win his first defense or he looks weak. And since his first defense would pretty much have to be against the tournament winner, it would render the tourny pointless.

Kenny vs Hangman: I wasn't expecting this to be the tournament final. Pretty much has to be Kenny here. Hangman's character work over the last year has been amazing, but I don't think his story has worked around to the point where he challenges for the title again. Plus there's the aforementioned history between Mox and Kenny that makes them having a title match the right move storywise.
I see the match going one of two ways: Option 1. Kenny just can't put away Hangman and as he grows increasingly desperate to win, he shifts into using full heel tactics to get the victory. Option 2. Hangman gets laid out by the classic mystery attacker earlier in the night, gets replaced by someone (probably Wardlow, given the Fenix/Penta precedent) and Kenny wins. This has the bait and switch issue, but it delays the Hangman/Omega match and you can have some fun with the mystery. Drop hints it could be various people. Kenny for not wanting to face Hangman, Wardlow for wanting another shot in the tournament, Young Bucks finally getting revenge, Brodie/Dark Order for Page not joining, Private Party over the whole $12 thing, Best Friends somehow mistaking him for Cutler, etc.

FTR vs Bucks: It's gotta be the Bucks. Unless they're gonna introduce Trios titles, they have no TNT Title-type backup option with the 'Never challenge again' stipulation like Cody had. Of course, I never called Cody losing his match with that stipulation, so I could easily be wrong here too. If the Bucks do lose, we better get the much threatened Merchfreak singles run.

Cody vs Darby: I think it's time they pull the trigger on Darby. Cody can't keep beating all the midcard guys they need to build as the future, at least not without being a proper underhanded heel about it. I feel like this might be a good spot for the reappearance of Mr. Brodie Lee, either to cost Cody the match or for a post match beatdown on Cody.

Hardy vs Sammy: As this is a Hardy Compound match, there's certainly going to be all sorts of shenanigans that make the match totally unpredictable. That said, I think it's Sammy winning. He needs to win something.

Nyla vs Shida: With how little build this has gotten and the way things are laid out, I'm pretty much at a loss. If Nyla loses, it renders the pairing with Vicky Guerrero pointless. But I don't see where they go with Nyla if she wins beyond the bog standard 'monster heel crushes division'. If Shida wins, I reckon she loses the next defense to Britt. So I'm going with a Shida win followed by the Roll Model getting the title some damn TV time.

MJF vs Jericho: MJF wins and joins the Inner Circle. Only outcome that makes sense. Slight chance of Jericho squeaking a win and letting MJF join anyway.

Orange vs Silver: Filler match but should be entertaining. Cassidy could use a win after the losses to Cody lately, but Silver has been killing it on BTE and probably deserves some kind of small push. I expect various Dark Order interference and I guess Silver getting the win.

Deeb vs Kay: Somehow this match has even less build than the AEW Women's title match, which doesn't seem possible but makes sense since it's for another company's title. Deeb retains.

This doesn’t bode well for current entrance music.

When tagged by YouTube, new theme titles are coming up with what are apparently their original generic names instead of wrestler theme titles. For example, Retribution’s current theme is tagged “Rock Theme 4”. This fits in with the belief that def rebel has just been making generic tracks that are assigned to a wrestler later, instead of making themes personalized for each wrestler.

CFO$ got a lot of shit for not being as good as Jim Johnston, but at least a good portion of their music was individualized. I really hope we’re not in an era of super-generic music that doesn’t fit the wrestlers and adds nothing to the presentation.

Shida’s ring gear is based on Tifa, so Nyla tried to one-up her.

That was a hell of a PPV. That alcohol spot was messed up. Probably just water but the premise... ouch. Worse than being slammed on Lego or dice.

Rather surprised we didn't get any turns or even solid concrete moves towards alignment shift.

Hopefully Sammy and Hardy are done with each other now. It's gone long enough and hasn't really done anything to build Sammy. Though the latter makes me think we're going to see more. Not really sure how Sammy comes back from that loss (if he's on TV within the next month, I'm gonna be annoyed).

MJF with the Guerrero spot was great. Very fitting and a smart finish. And it's gonna be a fun thing when they turn Jericho face eventually.

Too many other things to mention right now. Can't really think of a down point in the show either.

Really entertaining show top to bottom, defiantly got AEW PPVs back on track after All Out was a bit wonky.

Bucks/FTR another instant tag team classic. Checked the time afterwards and it went almost 30 minutes, but the whole thing flew by.

Kenny/Hangman was great as well. If they end up wrestling for the title in front of a full crowd in the future, it's going to burn the house down.

Was a bit disappointed that Mox/Kingston spent most of the time with hardcore stuff when it started out looking like a striking war, but still fun.

John Silver is a beast for a dude his size, definitely want more of that.

Elite Deletion could have been shorter before the point they went into the dome, but LOL at the cameos and Matt outright murdering Sammy then getting Senior Benjamin to dispose of the body.

Shida/Nyla fell apart a bit in the last couple of minutes, but was good up to that point. Good opportunity for a couple of angles coming out of that, namely Nyla ditching Vickie and Shida having a busted knee that could give Baker a way in.

    No complaints about Cody/Darby, Jericho/MJF or Deeb/Kay.

Interesting to see Don Callis on the show as well, always good to see positive bridges being built in the industry after Vince and Dixie spent so long burning them down.

Hype for the AEW Games announcement in a couple of days, hopefully the can do for wrestling games what they have done for wrestling itself.

Ya know. Watching Full Gear really does bring out one really big glaring issue that AEW still has found a way to rectify. Their women’s division. It was an ok match between Shida and Rose. Definitely the weakest on the card. They really need to course correct that division. Aside from that. A damn good PPV. So happy they put the belt on Darby. It’s gonna get interesting now. And that Tag match. DAMN. Only wish that could have been in front of a larger crowd. AEW totally brought it last night. Can’t wait for Revolution in February.
