The one thing I’m not happy with about the Soldier Type is how the Warudaroid needs to be seated with its legs bent back. So I tried a few things and found this configuration works. I like it better.
Not sure how to feel compared to the regular method. It does make me think that the Waruders have 'twisted' Yoga to their own evil ends.
I thought they were a alien buggy hivemind... This puts a damper on my headcanon. How is the second in command of the hero Dia-Battles supposed to have a romance with an enemy pilot after she discovers her individuality.
Close, but not quite. From the TakaraTomy Diaclone Reboot website, with rough translation by Google Chrome: Maybe your Macross-inspired head canon can still work?
Oooo, or another possibility, what if they assimilate other species. Midway through the first season an autopsy reveals an assimilated human. Perhaps they just need some central nervous system as a processor ala Servitors in WH40K
LOL, at first I read that as tadpole in a biscuit! Could be tadpole, I was thinking more like a jellyfish or octopus. Or maybe they're more crustacean-like, that would fit with the insectoid appearance of their mechs. Though it does say primitive, so... Great analogy! Yeah, kind of like a Dalek suit built by Cybermen. Wow, I'm sensing a great potential for a Diaclone/Doctor Who crossover. Oooooooh! Yeah! Like a malicious version of Star Trek's Trill or the Brain Slugs from Futurama.
okay so if this primitive life are in these biomech suits....how are they getting there? i can't believe something described as primitive marine life could build things like this so it leads me to believe something else started the process. i mean maybe the creatures in the suits took over and expanded the idea but what could have kickstarted it all? like who or what is the 'dr. eggman' that shoved creatures into battle suits? this is why diaclone needs an anime...
I am going with the idea that the Warruders are ruled by a giant AI. The enslaved marine life could be de-evolved descendants of its creators that the AI decided would make it more useful to its self preservation. Though it would be interesting that their original form was humanoid so the Warudaroids are almost a mockery of what they were. I was going with the idea that humanity is having more and more of its own management being handled by AI. So the Warruders are almost like a potential outcome for humanity if their dependence on AI goes too far.
If it’s a primitive marine life form, how did it build the android body? Does it have fingers? How did they develop electronics underwater? Too many questions. I’m gonna just pretend they are an advanced species that transferred their brains to robot bodies instead I like this too
i like where you're going but how about this? an alien race builds the technology and an AI to help make their planet more efficient....but like in all sci fi stories the AI become self aware and begins to take over introducing the hive mind aspect into the biomech suits that override individuality and independent thought. the biomech suits NEED a life form to activate it's higher functions so the AI needs the biological population of the planet alive. the AI also begins to move it's reach to other planets to spread it's influence and efficiency across the galaxy so it assimilates other species to make it's army grow. it uses primitive life for the smaller suits and because of the size and complexity of the larger suits it has to use more humanoid species (so there's where your love story can work) that could handle it. higher brain functions for the larger suits and lower for the smaller ones. think of the humans in the matrix being batteries for the machines. could change the dynamic of how the diaclone forces deal with things once they find out an AI is dr eggmaning alien species into the suits and not just a hostile alien race.
