that's odd... could these be NOS (New Old Stock) from Takara with a new slipcover over the box?

Curiouser and curiouser. The combiner hand and gun show are from Starscream but are new additions in the 3-pack? Now I have no idea what to think.

Is the OP exactly the same as previous Golden Lagoon release? The joints appear to have different color in the pictures.

Already got Starscream who was surprisingly inexpensive for a while, don't care for the rest.

These things are so uninteresting, that many shops still have them for over 2 years unsold. If they repainted the earth or siege lines, I would consider, since all are in scale, but this is totally crap. Maybe for guys like Trump who even wants his toilet in gold, if he were a tf collector, lol
I guess they just want to get rid of the Japanese remaining stock and repacked them in a new box.
Scalpers would bite the bait, since there is boom for TF toys this year and they believe they could resell everything and they got fucked. :D

I love the TR Soundwave mold so I've been mildly interested in the Golden Lagoon version since it came out, but definitely not for $140.

    Yeah really high!

Not a kid from the 80s Saturday morning cartoons TV shows eh?

I also have Starscream still in box if anyone needs one that bad ;)

Unless they upgraded the gold? :/ Anyone know for sure ? I'm guessing someone knows & will school me the facts lol

Nope, a ER GL Thrust ;) ! ER GL Starscream, ER GL Prime, ER GL Megatron, & CW GL Beachcomber & Seaspray.

Yeah should of done the ER mold instead.

    Not anymore bruh.

Mutant SOUNDWAVE is s figure from BEAST WARS metals days. ;)

While not an 80's kid, even after enjoying the G1 episode this came from, just doesnt make me any more interested.

I hit the link maybe 2 mins after the email was sent. Soundwave sold out before I could check out. Starscream and the trio were long gone.

I thought that too. I pulled up several pics and think it could be the lighting.

    You must do this!

Looks like SOUNDWAVE was priced based on his size compared to GL Masterpiece Optimus Prime. If they 'did' make a golden Primus from a Rodimus, for this wave/release, then MAYBE they ALSO upgraded SOUNDWAVES figure/deco? Be neat to use his MP form or G1 form. Does anyone know for sure??

No worries bro & Yeah nostalgia can be a strong magnetism growing up with something can be alot more of a way to pyll you in. ;)

There isn’t much novelty to getting a gold version of a figure that isn’t available in (much more useful) regular colours. Gold Lagoon Starscream continues to confuse me immensely, as does the fact that Coneheads would fit the mould better than traditional seekers would.

Managed to grab the Beachcomber trio the other day. Golden Lagoon is by FAR my favorite ep of G1, so it felt right to get that set.

I skipped on these. Too niche. Everyone was gold in that episode so why would I want a few random characters from the episode ? The only one notable for that episode was Beachcomber. Now if they made a gold Earthrise Thrust and Prime Id be more interested.

If they're doing reissues of this.... I'm going to hold out hope for a sudden surprise reissue of UW Grand Scourge.

Honestly, they should have just done new ones with the Siege and ER moulds for Prime, Screamer, and Soundwave. The rationale behind putting “an authentic Takaratomy product as released in Japan” worries me, I hope they don’t start reissuing literally everything because they think that’s a “niche geek” thing. We want new toys, and I don’t think Gold Lagoon was something people were really clambering for a reissue of.
