Would be cool if they saved all the 3d modeling files and etc that were used to make beast wars then rendered in a high resolution. Which I severely doubt they did.

Wow was this thread an exercise to read

Genuinely don't understand people harping on about wanting HD uploads of the show - just buy the bloody DVD boxsets and upscale them using VLC, it's the best you're going to get and you don't have to worry about videos being constantly taken down/put up.

Necro-bumping an old thread to determine if anyone knows where to get the now out-of-print DVDs at any sort of reasonable price or buy the series digital. I don't want to have to use Tubi for this, it's an awful service riddled with irritating advertisements and I would rather be able to simply pay money to receive television show.

According to ReBoot Revival, there was a "purge" of sorts at Mainframe in 2012 that led to the deletion of source files for all of the studio's classics, including Beast Wars and Beast Machines, so I wouldn't place any bets on a source upscale in any near future.

That said, the potential for an AI upscale is very much there, and provided Hasbro put the money up for it an SD BluRay release isn't out of the question, which could lead to better upscaling techniques becoming possible in the future.

FYI- Tubi has just about all TF series. No ā€˜86 movie tho.

Its a free app on your phone or smart TV. It just has commercials. Ive watched Beast Wars, Beast Machines, and Animated thus far. I may go back thru Prime before going thru Armada.

Beast Wars more than likely won't be released on Blu-ray. The series was rendered in standard definition, so the DVDs are as good as it gets. A traditional upscale would merely be enlarging the existing picture.

There are fan efforts to convert Mainframe's old shows to 4K using newer AI techniques that surpass traditional upscaling. However, 1. as with most fan projects, there's a lot of waiting to see when or if this ever happens, not to mention the high probability of copyright strikes, and 2. I've yet to hear of any actual media owners embracing this technology for official releases.

The episodes upscaled on Dailymotion are better than I would have expected though, I'd probably recommend just ripping those, that's the best you're going to get right now.

Tubi and the Roku Channel have multiple Transformers series on them. Netlfix has Season 1 of Prime and The Transformers Official has all 3 seasons of Cyberverse.

Shout! Factory is the partner that does the physical media release of the series.

Here is a link for the DVDs - Shout! Factory

And here is a link to Beast Wars on Tubi if you're watching on the browser - | Search results | Watch Free TV Online | Tubi

if not, it can be added as a free channel on Roku. Not sure about Android TV. Hope this helps!
