Also, looking back at the scenes again, the tertrajets in the movie are more like quad jets, they do have a fourth vertical wing on the bottom, with the gun attached, not as chunky as the toy, but it is there.

Honestly I really like how it looks, just not in the overly cartoonish g1 Starscream colours, I'm using blitzwing as my Starscream, so it would be nice to get this mold in another color scheme, hopefully darker.

That way I can stick with my rule of only owning one version of a mold (I pick the version of the mold I prefer the color on the most)

 

Interesting how EE lists the case for him. No other new figure, just Hot Rod 86.

Just like Blitzwing robot mode is superb. Colors look great. \"Canopy\" needs to be orange. WTF is up with that alt mode! Add another to the collection.

 

I agree with you. The alt mode is perfectly serviceable as a tetrajet. It looks fine, I cannot see what people are hating about it so much. They clearly did the best they could with the alt mode, and IMO it works out fairly well.

 

I always wonder why they bother doing this ? Its like a waste of time ? Like the guys who try to sell Greenlight for $300 nobodys buying its just sitting there collecting dust taking up space on the internet.

 

Whoa. I hope the copy Griffin has is an early sample...the eye paint was painted beneath the eyes but not on the actual eyes...they painted Starscream’s eye bags instead LOL!

The stock images show the eyes being painted correctly so hopefully they are by the time this reaches stores.

Noticed the wings have a swivel in robot mode that might let them turn upside down for some of the other Seekers like the Coneheads. If I get Starscream I’m planning to use a brushpen to weather the hell out of it. The grey used here should’ve been the same tone as on Blitzwing if not darker.

I noticed that, too. I hope this mould is good enough to be worth being bought multiple times.

I mean, as long as there's no obvious structural flaws, I can't see it not being a great figure and easy mould to milk.

I agree, the red and blue aren't the problem, it's the near-white grey. It's like they took the colours from the Generations redeco of the classics Starscream. It's too bright and high-contrast, either the grey should've been greyer, or the blue and red should've been slight more muted.

So there's still SS 73-85. So thats like 14 figures unaccounted for. Wonder what's next. Either way nice to finally have a new movie thing. Even if it isn't bay.

 

this in my opinion is really good i cant wait for the repaints of sun storm skywarp that unamed purple and white seeker and the others those are my must haves cant wait for me bee movie figures if they make soundwave shockwave and some others i might recreate the scene where star scream throws out megatron from the 86 movie but with bee movie figures but also wheres studio series #70 and 71? they still need to be revealed

 

I wish they could reveal more of these since Starscream is releasing July 2021.

 

For some reason all the retail and toy stores in my country stopped getting the normal deluxes, voyagers, legends size ect for nearly two years straight, it happened after dotm, no normal figures on Retail shelves for the entire toy run of age of extinction (although that didn't hit me too hard as not much in that range was good), what hit me harder was the complete lack of the generations line, no thrilling 30 at all, it was only towards the end of the run that the stores finally got in 2 voyagers, whirl and roadbuster, neither of which interested me,

We've had them back since the last knight, but for some reason they still haven't gotten the smaller legends size class back (or whatever they were called, smaller than deluxe range i.e. titan masters, target masters, micromasters, the legends titan return figures like slash, bumblebee ect)

The legends class stuff still hasn't come back to this day

 

Would that be "Spoilery" though?

Also, Kingdom is explicity *not* following the movie plot. That's why the SS86 line splintered off and the Dead Optimus repaint was labeled "Alternate Universe."
