I've had Optimus and Starscream stashed since they were up the first week before but I might snag Percy and the minibots this time. Either way it's kind of cool to see TT reissuing these. I wonder if there's anything else exclusive or otherwise they'd do again this way.

Not gonna lie I REALLY still want TT or Hasbro to do one more CW Starscream deco.

I guess if they did a "Golden Lagoon" MP-44 it'd cost more than a solid lump of actual electrum.

 

Aw man I only just realized the new boxes. I might have gotten another Starscream and sold off my first one just for that cuz they look REALLY nice. Aw well.

This. Those GPS prone gold plastics are definitely going to break and crumble into dust as soon as the toys are touched.  

 

Are mutant Soundwave and normal Soundwave two separate bots? Because there's both a normal soundwave behind Roddie and Batbot on the left.

 

If there's a Kingdom Rodimus, I wouldn't put it past Takara to, at minimum, repaint it as Primus. Retooling it to get there would also be within the realm of possibility given what we saw with Piranacon and Super Megs.

 

Tempted by Starscream just to 1. have a weird, gold starscream but mostly 2. have a version of CW starscream.

With my luck they'd release a standard seeker version of it somehow later. Maybe Takara will do another boxset, iunno.

 

I already have the Takara versions.... that said, I'll buy the 3 pack again if I find it available somewhere.

I really do think they missed a trick here by not releasing the 3 pack as individuals.... maybe even another Beachcomber with just a golden hand.

Skipped it then, and will do so once more. As "used and abused" the CW molds were, I would have totally been down if they released this Starscream in his standard deco, along with the rest of the seekers.

 

was wondering if the pricing is comparable to what they went for 2 years back...sounds like they're pricier?

why does the Perceptor set come with a combiner hand/foot piece? None of the figs can become a limb...is it just to counter-match Starscream?

or inflation! the going rate for gold has skyrocketed since the pandemic!

With the way Takara Selects has been trending...I wouldn't put it past them to slip in a *new* team built around PotP Starscream.

There were a *lot* of combiners getting face time over the last few chapters, including Orthia. But there hasn't been any sign of Starscream (or Darkwing/Dreadwind).

It could be they pair him with Buster/Hydra and two Seekers.

I can't speak for the others, but my GL Starscream from the first run was $45 on TFSource. So that hasn't changed.
