Kinda feel like a putz for ordering Screamer from RobotKingdom, but at least I'll have my Matrix Gauntlet for God Neptune before the latter comes in.
Hooraaayy. My collection can finally be complete. This was all I ever could have wanted. That MP-10 looks interesting at the very least.
I like the idea, but I would rather have preferred that Takara use the WFC Earhtrise molds of Optimus Prime, Sound Wave, and Starscream.
But these are Hasbro versions of Takara toys from like two years ago. Long before Earthrise. EDIT: Wondering if the Hasbro box is just slipped over the Takara one...
This is ridiculous, 130 copies for preorder? No wonder by the time I saw the mail 45 minutes later, the Perceptor set was already sold out. Not that I care that much for this set, i liked the episode sure, but not enough to buy these. I bet some kids would nick it thinking it is solid gold... Check page source and inventory, they only had 130 copies... I assume this was a rare exclusive in Japan too.
Yeah that one stood out. Unless my memory fails me, $45 was what Starscream went for during the initial offering. The Golden Lagoon guys were featured at the end of the Abominus chapter of the new Takara Selects comic. I was thinking it was teasing a GL version of the rumored Kingdom Rodimus...but apparently they were setting up the reissue of the old GL sets. Makes me kinda hope the Mutant Soundwave in the background of that pic gets a figure next. As well as that Kingdom Rodimus as Primus front and center.
Wait, are they preparing for a .... gold edition commander class kingdom rodimus / gold Primus in the select Takara toy line...?
TCP still has him available albeit for $5 more: Takara Transformers 35th Anniversary - The Golden Lagoon STARSCREAM They only have Screamer and the 3 pack, but I was kind of wondering why they suddenly had more stock of these guys as of late.
Wanted Starscream but ended up missing him. Pretty disappointed but I hope they'll bring them back around for one more release.
Wth? 130 copies isn't a "release." It sounds like they found some samples from 2018 when they decided not to release them domestically, and decided to sell them perhaps?
Only Starscream kept the same price as before. Everyone else got a price hike. Soundwave went into unreasonable category for pricing. The pictures are really OFF. It's like someone at Hasbro applied a sepia filter to all the pics. The chrome is very much yellow on the real toys: regular chrome with clear yellow applied after.
I was wondering about the pictures being off. Because if you compare the ones from TFSource and Pulse there is a noticeable difference. Good to know, thanks for clarifying.
