After about two years of procrastination and life being a beach I finally am sitting down to a project I have been wanting to do. Turn my Terrorcons/Abominus figures into the fantastical creatures from the OG Bakugan Battle Brawlers series from when I was in middle school. Currently, I only have one figure ready for repainting which is Hun-Gurrr who has been reformated into the much taller and more poseable Dual Hydranoid. Hun-Gurrr's Original tail is the perfect stand-in for Hydranoid's Chest spikes/saw while 2001 RID Galvatron/Megatron donated the head/tail component (Along with other parts for later projects) for his dragon modes to make the hydra Bakugan more stable. Still not sure what to do with the OG beast mode legs hanging off the back when not in combined mode. The only other real thing to say in this post at the moment is that I do have Cutthroat and Rippersnapper in very early concept modes. Cutthroat will be converted into either a Darkus version of Skyress or a Bakugan I've never heard of called Atmos. Rippersnapper just had his arms and beast mode legs taken off to turn him into a Darkus version of a very basic Bakugan called Serpenoid. The first of the two images shows the scale with Hydranoid. Sinnertwin and Blot are safe from the chopping block as I try to find decent enough Bakugan to convert them into. If any fellow OG Bakugan fans or anybody for that matter see this post and have idea's I'm all ears. I'm super proud of just the little bit I've done and will hopefully remember to update this thread as I make more significant progress. The current plan to make all of them fit the purple and black Darkus theme so they match hydranoid, but Atmos/Skyress and Serpenoid may stick to the Ventus or Pyrus/Aquos colors depending on how bright or muted they look when combined with the big boy.
I really dig this project. I never got into Bakumon, but love the variations on the monster bots, especially Rippersnapper so far.
