Hey everyone, thought it was high time I shared these with you too. Spend enough time on Rebelscum, where they can be a little biased, thought I'd share some with a more neutral audience. I'll leave these as thumbnails for now, just because there were so many, but I'll post full size going forward. My custom Mando character: My custom "old school" Starbuck A custom Hoth Rebel Random Mon Cal Jedi Custom 212th troopers (real one is center) Custom holo table Playroom diorama Klingon Jedi (Master Kli'Gon) Master Coleman Trebor Master Minch Just a quick group shot Custom ROTS Kenobi Custom Zabrak Jedi and Kit Fisto adjusted Custom random Mandalorian female Modified Beskar Mando (silver jetpack and highlighted Mudhorn) Custom "The Child" Mando (based on some fan art) Custom "flashback" Clan Vizsla Mando
I don't "know" what I'm looking at in half of these, but the BSG pilot is really good and the Klingon Jedi is a hoot, even if he does just look like Worf doing cosplay. I don't know how you'd get him to look less... Worf-y, tho. Maybe a new skin tone or hairline?
Understandable, and I agree. He still has a solid rubber braid at the moment. Just trying to find a good replacement for his hair
-Classic Battlestar Galactica = awesome! -Really like the game room pic. -The Yoda with hair needs a goatee. He almost has the right facial expression to be Samuel L Jackson.
That one is actually a (now Legends) character named Minch. Same species, but about 200yrs younger. But I do get what you're saying.
Wow I'm loving that commander Bly and that Coleman Trebor, at least I hope that's commander Bly and Coleman Trebor my memory is a bit rusty
It is Coleman Trebor, but not Bly. I had taken the "General Kenobi" and turned him into a 212th AT-TE gunner (based on the old 3.75in figure)
Had some time to update the first post with some details. Sorry about just having a photo dump initially.
Hey everyone. Was between steps on a couple of projects, and decided to kill a little time with an extra face plate from one of the Rebel Hoth soldiers. Decided to turn a "clean shaven" face into Colonel "The Mustache" Firest. Used some Green Stuff for his mustache and then repainted it
Decided to upgrade my Beskar Mandalorian to match the "season 2" look a little better. Before: (using a "Cara Dune" cape from Rickhor on eBay) After mods: Trimmed the cape to match the shape of Hasbro's plastic one, and darkened in coffee. I reshaped his right thigh armor, and added a sliver of styrene, then repainted the armor and jetpack in a mixture of silver chrome and gunmetal tamiya acrylics. I also added a little red to the gauntlet. And, since I'm a stickler for minor details, added a hint of gold to the silver mixture for his visor. Now, in direct light (or with a flash), the gold shows up. Otherwise, just looks like the beskar silver.
Have you considered removing the kneepad? (I always found it strange that BS couldn't do it when TVC did.) Edit: Sorry I'm dumb, I didn't see his new outfit has the kneepad lol.
Yeah, I was tempted to go with a Palpatine knee (since I had him in my fodder bin), but then I watched the season premier and saw the pad. When I saw it in the season 2 trailers, I thought it was because he ended up upgrading his armor during the season
Fun to see the Battlestar Galactica pilot since I started with Star Wars figures not because I had seen Star Wars, but I was a fan of the Original Galactica series. And with no figures of that (where I live), I used this Star Wars of which I had never heard. Bespin Luke and Bespin Han were my Apollo and Starbuck, Lando my Tigh, Kenobi Adama, etc. (IIRC when my Bespin Han lost his head I painted the body like this -- well, like this as 10 year old)
Yeah, I happened to come across an old set photo from the original BSG, and never realized just how close the Target 3-pack Cassian looked like a Colonial Viper Pilot. I couldn't help but make a Starbuck. Even gave him his signature cigar for good measure
Thanks. All I did to that was, I hit it with a molotow liquid chrome marker. I wanted it to really pop
When you get together with your friends for a movie marathon... ...Don't forget to have some things to distract the kids too.
