A little late to the party for re-issues, I think. I would have been all over Meteor, Skycrow and Lightning if they had been available even 6 months ago.

Wonder what's going to fall off or not fit properly on this one.

I'm glad he's getting a reissue, but I feel like they haven't addressed the primary issues with Meteor here. His basic body design is still great, in my opinion the best, but his face, his hands, and the back-view (without fillers) still leave a lot to be desired. My copy is fantastic, and I don't regret buying him for ~$200 a few months ago, but I also have MP-44's Starscream head stapled to his body and a pair of KFC hands coming for my to crudely bolt onto his wrists. I don't personally see any difference in paint scheme or anything between the new reissue here and the classic one - aside from paint on the face - To really call this an 'enhanced' reissue. But at least he comes with blast effects?

I wish he just had a new animation accurate face. Dont care about blast effects and repaints.

I'm hoping for a bigger head, more real life accurate alt mode and no fake parts. Otherwise just fix what was inherently wrong with it.

Yeah, other than a lighter face (an issue I plan to rectify myself on my Meteor), I don't see any new paint scheme. I just compared the new pictures of 11EX to my original, and I see no difference.

I would like to get those new faces and blast effects, but im struggling to justify pre-ordering him, especially since I have MP-52 pre-ordered.

Like many others, I paid approximately $200 for my Meteor a few months ago and don't regret it. I kind of regret paying over $600 for a set of Lightning and Skycrow. I love them, but it's going to suck if they get reissued a lot cheaper.

The reason I went ahead and paid those secondary market prices were, one, after all the QC issues with Solar Flare, I was worried that any reissues of the original three would be fraught with issues as well, which would just make the originals' value stay high, or go higher. I was also concerned these reissues would never happen, and while Meteor came down in price, Skycrow and Lightning were keeping their value, and I was worried they would just keep going up.

Meteor's price did come way down because of MP-52, and this will drive it further down (unless the quality sucks). It only stands to reason that Skycrow and Lightning will come down with the official releases of Skywarp and Thundercracker based on MP-52, but again...what if MP-52 sucks? What if it's like MP-44 and MP-47 and has all sorts of issues? Well, then people would come flooding back to Maketoys, this driving the prices back up.

For me it was a gamble, and we will see if it paid off. Probably won't. I probably wasted about $350 on these three, but I won't know until the next year or two when the dust settles on the MT reissues and the reception of the official mold.

Honestly. I hope the official mold is amazing. Because I want an official set of Seekers to match my Maketoys Seekers. One in bot mode, one in alt mode. And probably switched back and forth at random.

I pre-ordered this guy, to see the differences in-hand myself. Can always sell on afterwards if I don't want it. It would almost be worth it for the fixed C-clip section on the nose cone area (if that is indeed updated on this release).

I actually like the C-Clip. Yes, it can be frustrating as heck. But I like that you can remove the nose cone completely for a clean back view.

Now, if. They improve it, bit leave it removable, I'm game. Also I wish they would make his darn butt flap fold up, LOL. There's even a groove across the middle of it on the underside, as though they originally designed it to fold.

Does anyone know if there are plans to re-release Lightning? I was never a big seeker fan in general, but I did like Thundercracker and could never find him as a kid.

It's all rumor and speculation. Some say they will reissue Lightning and Skycrow. Some say it will never happen. Some said Maketoys was dead forever, but they're back. Only Maketoys knows for sure if they will reissue. And honestly, I don't think they know for sure.

It's too bad. If this were announced before MP-52 popped up it would've been an instant buy for me but it's too late now. I never liked his face (too narrow, small and dark) and the damn buttflap. Also needing to buy wing fillers. I see the face(s) have been addressed to a degree and the wing fillers are included but the buttflap is still there. MP-52 even killed any enthusiasm for their coneheads that i had.

IDK, as far as i'm concerned the Maketoys Seekers are only good for the Seekers like Acid Swarm because i don't know if TT will do them.

We don’t know definitively what’s included but it’s likely the below:
    - Better nose cone attachment (as was used for Dirge)
    - Better painted face
    - More faces
    - Blast effects
    Other possible Inclusions
    - Wing fillets and/or properly solid wings (I’m assuming just the same old wing fillers, probably glued in at the factory)
    - tightened tolerances (the last couple releases were reported to be a bit floppy)

and that’s probably it. We won’t get bigger heads because there’s not enough room for it. Hands won’t change because the clumsy mitten hands are practically default on most figures of this size. And it doesn’t look like much else in the way of improved paint (aside from the face) which is fine because the paints pretty accurate already.

It's been confirmed this meteor comes with the wings filled out and you can fold his butt flap up so it's not visible. It takes about 15 mins to fix the head to look up. Also MP52 has a big ol butt flap and don't forget that legendary Takara quality we saw on Hound. Give me MT any day over that garbage.

I’d argue meteor was the least that needed reissuing. Skycrow and lightning haven’t had one. Just look at the insane price difference of these getting them on the secondary market. Does MTs even bother to do market research when making these decisions?

I don't see any indication of the butt flap being able to be folded up in any of the pictures being shown by TFSource or ToyDojo. If this is a thing you would think they'd show it off with pics. Do you have a link to information on this particular change?

I've been looking but can't find the confirmation on the butt flap folding up? Where did you see that?

Sorry, I just meant that on the original one, it was easy to flip it up so it wasn't visible.

Still lacking in many areas. That head mould still sucks but at least the face is painted this time, but still way too damn small.

Again it will come down to price. But it will always be #2 best Starscream. Honestly, they should have done some retooling on Meteor to clean it up some, especially the legs.
