I agree that random assortments would be very cool but I just don't see HasTak doing that. Between Dr. Wu, Nonnef, Renderform, Shapeways, and the occasional Ebay shop, there are plenty of options for weapons, and I hear that Nonnef was sneaking limited edition "golden" weapons out in his shipments.

From what I have read, it looks like Hasbro may be doing all of the individual Targetmasters from the original G1 characters, and then sneaking in new figures such as Lionizer. I personally am extremely excited for this line and these additions. For a while, I was thinking of buying a bunch of clearance Generations Scoop and painting his Targetmasters for my TR figures who missed out (I have some of the LG releases, but Blurr and Scourge didn't get theirs, and I skipped the LG Decepticon Targetmasters since I had the Hasbro ones).

Just want to clarify that Lionizer is an Action Master partner, which seems to what the non-Targetmaster Battlemasters are going to based on.

I am pretty sure that is due to some military buggies having mounted heavy machine guns. (I know that in Bayverse, Sector 7 had some, which were based on real vehicles). I forget which Third Party made the CHUG Beachcomber, but it had a very similar rifle, which had an optional flower to be put in the barrel, an obvious reference to 60's hippies, and most likely the inspiration for the Dr. Wu design. That would have been awesome if a flower was included.

I had given my Beachcomber the rifle that came with Generations Blitzwing (which was way too small for a Voyager), but this having the clip for vehicle mode is an easily better replacement.

That sounds like a good reference, and makes sense. I was never a fan of Action Masters (Transformers that don't Transform doesn't make sense to me) and have little knowledge of them. I welcome the homage, and if Lionizer is the standard for their designs, I look forward to them all.

I personally believe that I cannot have too many guns (for my Transformers). You should see my Shapeways collections. Even my wife painted some with me.

Yeah, I'm not very partial to Action Masters (I do enjoy the updates combining the shells and innerbots ala Bludgeon and Skullgrin). Action Master partners definitely some more out there designs, but a good number of them can lend themselves well to weapons.

I think the way POTP handled the Pretenders was actually brilliant, but them not releasing the remaining Pretenders and not giving all the Prime Masters the "decoy suits" (not to mention making 2 part of limited release or a Titan) was a huge mistake and missed opportunity on their part. The Decoy suits really looked great, the weapon modes were decent, the Prime Masters was an ok concept for a toy, but the best part was that they scaled nicely with CHUG, seeing as the Autobot Pretenders looked like humans.

I for one would happily buy all of the Pretenders as decoy suits, and would even shell out for a limited release box set for all of the 13 Primes with Pretender decoy suits if Hasbro ever deems to do so in the future. The way they are handling these recent exclusives, it might actually be possible in the future if they had designs already drawn up for POTP.

    Ebay:
Pounce in robot mode can not hold his weapons at all as rifles. He only can as swords. A design flaw I would say to favour them as swords. Beast mode ports should have been 5mm like fists. Or handles stepped like Wingspans.

I do love Wingspans rifles. Holed barrels nice.

^Agreed. I really wish he was able to hold them as rifles as well. Alas, still a great set of weapons for both sets of my clones.

I do love that the alt mode adapters can stay plugged into their backs in robot mode and are neatly hidden away instead of extra pieces floating around while in bot mode.

I don't see what's brilliant about turning bricks with an altmode into bricks that transform into a cube.
Brilliant would have been to produce articulated voyager sized transformable shells that interact with legend class articulated inner robots with better defined altmodes.
But hey, if you're happy you're happy.
I hope some third party company will take a shot at producing cool Pretender toys that don't forego the gimmick or the inner robots.

I just got the clones and am looking for weapons for them. I noticed there are sets with "Y"at the end of their number, does anyone know what the difference is?

They are special colored versions, for example the decepticon weapons are white instead of black and the autobot ones have the colors swapped I believe..

Anyone have a lead on the Decepticon clone warrior set in the original blue/black?

I can barely find the white set in stock, and none of the original.

I kinda wish there was some sort of simplistic 3, 5 or 7 POA vinyl toy of the pretender shells alone that would be cool - sell them as collectable piggy banks or something like that. Or do the Pretender Beasts as normal deluxes and sell the shells as seperate novelty items via the comic shop like outlets.

But yeah I wish they'd done more of the mini-Pretender shell in POTP - I'd still want them even now as they make great accessories for base bots vehicles too. (they might even go nicely with the new Ark toy too) I kinda liked the Titanmaster vehicles too - I'd have liked a rollar with Optimus Prime (or Orion Pax) Headmaster too - and even that Arcee one would have been nice to have too. The seats in the Titanmaster/Primemaster scouts was a great feature I will miss too.

That is why I'm disapointed that there is only a little bleed outside the ' Trilogy ' formats. Though to be frank I will be happy to see the back of Cyberverse and perhaps it's time they stopped splitting the market and went back to making a single toyline for everyone and then a few "younger market items on the side as takes their fancy as Cyberverse really is just repeating what other lines do in a slightly different way and so comes across as a waste - either it deserved a more extensive and better toyline & have been the main focus - or it should have just been skipped over - the problem I have with it though - is despite it being the mainline it's actually way more difficult to get than the collectable lines are as the collectable stores don't often bother to stock it at all.

Which is a bit of a pain if you really would like to army build Warrior Class Sharkticons.

Walmart was a pretty easy way to get the warrior Gnaw figures, especially when they got discounted to like $7 a piece, at least in my area. I ended up with 5 of them

Due to Covid-19 the warrior class items only infrequently made it to my local and only as online items - and in obscure places.. fortunately the Sharkticon is in a re-fresh wave so that does help. But as easy as someothing like Warrior Deadshot/drift might be to get in American he's impossible here, as that wave was skipped. I just have to decide if I care enough or not to import one I guess.

Anyone looking for weapons for pounce/wingspan, I just got a VERY high quality set from @MagnusAfterDark here, from eBay. They're black, 3d printed with no lines, and can be held in the way the vintage figures did, unlike the dr. Wu ones.
