Damn! Yesterday I missed a big oppurtinity. Someone in Germany sold a used Stomp on ebay for 250€. I was a little late, but I was able to get some other Fanstoys from the seller. Stomp is the last Dinobot I need, but for this price in europe it's almost impossible to get him.

Yep no shame in asking. I saw a fella post a pre-apology to those on a FB group for transformers and he was asking like $200 over MSRP for Thomas. I told him dude it’s an open forum and if anyone complains they don’t have to buy it. It’s all part of the thrill of the hunt in collecting.

I remember I had been searching for an AFA graded Tomax/Xamot with the pink scar and with the swivel arm battle grip stamp on the bottom from GI JOE and I paid up the nose for it. Like $1000. I wasn’t upset at the seller on eBay. It was high in demand and I wanted it. I still have it on my shelf alongside my transformers. Called supply and demand.

I’ve got a stomp x that I don’t want to sell but I try to price out from time to time. Right now I think he’s worth around $1500 which seems insane to me.

 

I have Stomp X also. I got it just as it was starting to dry up.

On an older figure I might agree with you, but on Thomas, he is brand new and sold out everywhere. Selling so soon at such a high price to me means a lot of people bought it just to resell it. A lot of people had their pre orders canceled when FT decided not to make as many and after having it locked down for 3 months, to be told 'surprise, through no fault of your own, you now have to pay 200$ extra' is super bull shit.

That said, on a figure like Stomp who hasnt been made in a few years, and for w/e reason FT made less of than their other dbots, yeah you will see 500-1500 ish. But thats not someone who bought it to instantly resell it at a profit. That is a collector getting rid of a part of their collection.

 

Wow that’s more than I spent on all 5 Dibots! I still consider Stomp to be FansToys best figure but my goodness...
