As for the Prowl headswap, I don't know how everyone else has had such an easy time with it, I am not able to get the Siege head on the ER body. Might try heating but if that doesn't work I'm just going to give up because the head never really bothered me that much. It might just be because I'm mostly a Star Wars Black Series collector and I've been spoiled with the benefit of rubbery plastic heads popping off with ease.

So I was able to get it on with some heat, however the peg is so tight that the movement on the head is limited. So I do warn that it's probably best to shave the peg or the head down a bit if you want to swap. Personally, I'd try to shave the Siege head because Siege prowl is easiest to get.

 

Just got mine in, same deal with the coneheads, stickers on box, best part is it started pouring rain here in FL and my box got soaked since it was not covered up at all. I guess I am going to select this item as a gift from now on since this is how they treat their exclusives. Lame.

 

Why are people swapping the Prowl head anyways? Is there something horrifically wrong? Got Bluestreak and if the head is anything to go on, it'll look good in Prowl colors.

 

I sure hope the set comes back in stock. I didn’t miss it, but my Prowl has a couple nasty paint chips on his head, and I’d like a replacement.

On the plus side, Prowl wears the Bluestreak helmet very well, and my Ironhide is thankfully perfect. I actually kinda love his partsforming sled. It’s a cool re-interpretation of the how the G1 toy worked.

 

This image shows the difference best. The Siege Bluestreak came with the Prowl head and now the ER Prowl comes with the Bluestreak head. The heads are similar enough for most people to not notice, but the crest on Prowl has pointy ends and the middle bit is different. It's really just a personal preference as the Siege headsculpt gives Prowl a stern look and the ER headsculpt is more youthful.

 

I ordered 2 from Amazon (we have 5 collectors in my house, me and my 4 boys -- 3 of them are old enough to want to seriously collect). One of my sets went to my 10 year old who just had a birthday a couple of days back and used some of his birthday money to buy it.

Upon the first transformation - he noticed that the passenger side window on the roof/shield wouldn't close down. It turns out that that is misassembled and they used the same window part from the driver side. The circular ports should both be at the "front" of the window, but the passenger's side the window is at the back of the window. Because of this, it doesn't allow the window to fully close down (because the arm is in the way). Has anyone else encountered this? Attaching some pictures for reference...

I still haven't opened the other set yet... but now I think I need to in order to see if it also has the issue.

 

When you select "Ship it Amazon packaging" its literally just them putting that text into the gift text. So thats what it is.

 

I just pulled it off, and then the harder part was snapping it onto the ER Prowl peg, as its just a bit bigger.

 

Same boat, except I should've just hit "proceed checkout" and get it. Praying they do a restock on it. Hell I'll take a Netflix reissue even.

 

Gotcha. Yeah not enough of a big deal for me to bother. I only have one Siege Prowl and I still do like the Cyber-Datsuns too.

 

Long as people are talking about the head swap in this thread, any chance someone's willing to spare an ER Prowl head? I've attached pics of mine so you can see the damage. Please let me know if you've got a Prowl head that looks better than this and are willing to part with it. Really unfortunate for a figure I was anticipating so much.

 

Ouch! That sucks! Lucky for you, it appears many people have spare heads! I'd offer you mine, but it isn't gonna be here for a week and a half

Perfectly? Not quite. The ER balljoint is a touch bigger, so the ER head will not stay on the Siege body. In saying that, the Siege head will go onto the ER body with a bit of force/pressure and no modifications. Mine doesn't have any problems moving once on and it doesn't hinder transformation in any way

Has anyone else had the issue of Ironhide's chest plate not pegging in?

So, yeah, didn't care for Ironhide's colors right out of the box, so I did a parts swap with Siege to get as close of a color match as I could.

The darker red bits on Siege came from Earthrise, so just imagine them on the new Ironhide and you'll understand why I ditched them.

 

My Prowl/Ironhide hasn't charged or shipped yet, but it says it's scheduled for a Wednesday delivery. Anyone wanna take Ironhide off my hands when he gets in? I have no interest in him, just getting the set for Prowl
