Same with Dino. On a side note, is Dino a Ferrari? Someone probably answered that, I just forgot. At this rate, I’m starting to believe the people who say Hasbro is trying to forget the Bay movies. Ofc it’s probably not true, but it’s hard to not believe them when the only reveals you’ve had since like May, are Leadfoot (good figure, I love him), and a Devy box set. Every other line has gotten way more than that.

 

Maybe Hasbro is planning something big next year? Since it's DOTM's 10 year anniversary this time around? I'd like to keep my expectations low, but this seems the most likely?

I would think the same, except they’re already doing the whole Studio Series 86 line to celebrate the 1986 movie, so I think that slot is taken up. Also, I don’t think they did anything for ROTF last year, so I feel it’s unlikely. Someone in one of the other threads told me that one possibility is that Dino will look close to a Ferrari, but it won’t be exact due to licensing issues.

 

devastator was done for the ROTF anniversary though.

 

He was completed by this year, which is 11 years from rotf’s release. I’m not trying to put a damper on anyone, as I want something too, but it just doesn’t seem likely.

 

Bear in mind that they were released across five waves, with other figures released during that time period, likely to vary selection (because retailers stocking nothing but Hightowers would be painful for people who aren’t interested...). Plus, there’s likely QC issues that could’ve delayed some like it’s currently delaying Dino.

 

Yeah, plus the fact that (most likely) they’re going to try to make Dino look very Ferrari-like without the licensing, so to achieve that, QC is probably delaying it.

I'm a huge fan of Bumblebee. He's always been my favorite character in Transformers, and despite the many toys made in his image, I never got sick of him.

I say this to preface the fact that I find this figure remarkably disappointing. One would hope they'd give him an unmasked head, but no. I wouldn't even have minded if they reused the Clunker Bumblebee head, just something to make him stand out from the 2007 version. I like the consistent silver on the inner robot parts, and Sam is a neat accessory, but the front end of the vehicle mode looks like a mess. It's not a bad figure, but it's not different enough from the original mold to justify a purchase.

 

I am waiting with bated breath for an upsized KO of Studio Series 74 Bumblebee. I sure hope Black Mamba or WeiJiang are working on such a thing!

I love pretty much everything about this figure except its size; it looks so puny next to many other figures (though of course it does work with the other Studio Series figs). The addition of a switchable masked/unmasked face, moveable wrists, and a couple of other minor tweaks would be nice too.
