At the time Prowl even mentioned Tarn no one other than Megatron even knew who he was. Prowl was just making assumptions. Did I mention "fuck Prowl"?  

 

I mean if James Roberts says Tarn was, he certainly can...but he never made it canon through the pages of the series he wrote, so to me it sounds like an unused idea he was playing with at the time and then changed his mind.

Without Roberts saying it later, I would simply chalk up what Prowl said as him making an assumption, given Tarn still was a very powerful bot. But with Roberts' pseudo-confirming it later, I could believe that Prowl would somehow know something we didn't (the whole Devastator's head thing may be his backing).

Yeah. He was certainly pumping himself with plenty of stuff before he attempted to commit suicide. And knowing his loyalty to the decepticon cause, if megatron asked him to he would never say no.

 

Tarn was actually rebuilt. Whether he went through the ununtrium process, that depends on whether Roberts was drinking Bud or Corona at the time.

We can all agree though that it does not matter what kind of enhancement process the Decepticons possessed, James Roberts was and will always be on the Autobots' side, and that alone makes Decepticons ..... losers.

 

I dont count something Prowl said as conformation when Megatron didn't even acknowledge it.

Plus, when Tarn and the DJD were killing Skyshadow, he mentioned, "Phase Sixers tend to *boom* when they die".

I don't remember...did Tarn go boom? The entire DJD kinda went boom at Megatron's hand.

You know who also would sell well? Scorponok I mean not only would it sell with IDW collectors but it would sell with Marvel comics people (also mean repaint potential besides Zarak) and also people me who prefer Scorponok in Leader-ish scale rather than titan.

 

Well you can go to Podunktown USA and get Earthrise Scorponok for 44.99 + Tax. He actually looks very similar to your leftmost picture   Yeah he's a bit big, but hei you can't beat 44.99 + Tax.
