I really think threads should include the name of character in addition to the figure's model name (eg like this one). I searched Windblade in titles and that thread didn't come up.

 

Is it really windblade if she doesn't turn into a jet?  

 

She's Binaltech/Alternators Windblade, that continuity where everyone had to become a car to save their lives (or something).

I just got her today, and I really like her. Car mode looks great, bot mode looks great... but I’m having trouble getting things to line up from bot to car. Unfortunately it’s dark and my power is out (yay mobile), so I can’t futz with her more, but if anyone has any tips, I’d be very appreciative!

 

hi Renidragon, I have had some difficulties too in transforming from robot to car. Not everything fit together and the shape of the car was not perfect (it remained a bit open in places). I have collected some videos in a specific section of my site, where some tips are explained to transform Athena   Enjoy!

Hey man. Appreciate the effort, but those videos didn't help at all. I'm having trouble getting from bot mode to alt mode without stuff getting untabbed or otherwise not fitting together. The Insert Power Driver vid helped a little, but could have used some voiceover.

Still, you took the time to try to help, so thank you!

Edit: Just transformed her again (man, those legs are a pain in the ass from bot to car!), and I think a lot of the issue I was having was that I wasn't pushing the roof section all the way down. Still took some fiddling, but I got it.

She's a very fiddly lady, but she sure is pretty!  

 

Complicated lady is an appropriate term, in fact I too had to transform her two / three times in order to have the pieces that matched perfectly. The problem I had, was mainly that the roof did not close and latch properly. By patiently arranging my arms and torso, I was able to obtain the perfect alignment of all the parts so that they closed  

 

Is Athena really that hard to transform?

 

Not hard but not fun. Not feeling it tbh and think it's time to move her on.

 

The legs are a bit of a challenge.
