I’m actually not too sure. I stumbled across him in a similar situation, but I thought it was simply a glitch with my target’s system, as that’s happened in the past. I don’t have an answer for you - rather I have the same question.

So I finally got Skipjack and beast is complete.
I tried to go with concept art, but whole construction of Devastator is not possible to stand in the way I would like on two legs without support from arms. And I am even limited with my case.
I did not like how they made connection of legs to Overload, so I made some changes.

He only forms the head. However, he does peg/clip onto two places on Scavenger, slightly helping to keep Scavenger's internal parts (like the treads on the back) from rotating as easily. This does not affect the shoulders at all, or otherwise improve stability. In fact, most fanmodes ignore the clips, to allow the head to face forward while in a four-legged form.

I just picked this set up. I have to say this is a really nice set. I did not get Slipjack, but i like the orange/red leg.

I really enjoy the transformations and how everything comes together. There is a lot of engineering going on.

Is it perfect, no, but am I happy with it, hell ya!

Looking at the upgrade kit and debating it.

Don't think about it, just go with the upgrade. It'll complete all the design elements that were omitted and shown in the original prototype.

So I recently got this set for probably way too much money, but so far I'm having an absolute blast with it. I've been unpacking one constructicon every other day or so, and so far every single one has been absolutely fantastic. Great robot modes that are just fun, effective yet entertaining transformations and kickass vehicle modes. The vehicle modes are obviously getting the short stick here, but I personally don't mind, I think they're compromised just the right way. I love looking at them individually or as a giant pool side by side.

I know HasTaks Designers had to compromise a lot with this set between budget, size classes, plastic and time constraints, but honestly I'm not getting that feeling at all when looking at these toys. Design-wise that is, the only majorgripe I have with this set until now is that I wish the plastic and tolerances were more premium. As is it's the standard mass-retail schtick, plastic is okay but doesn't look/feel very nice in places, tighten up Longhauls knees here and Overloads legs there. There's a flimsy clip on joint that maybe could've used a pin, that robot mode joint could've used a nice little ratchet. It checks out overall and the combiner joints are nice and tight. But a part of me wishes I could buy these exact figures with a more premium feel.

Looking forward to combined mode, here are some random pics.

Holy fucking shit, and I mean HOLY FUCKING SHIT what an absolute BEAST.
I guess I could go on about details like why that one strut on Scavenger is technically the only thing connecting the lower and upper half of Devastator, or why Hightowers connector joint is the only one weaker than the rest or why Skipjack is sucha literal pain to connect to Overload but I'm actuallyat a loss of words. HOLY FUCKING SHIT this guy is a sight to behold. Simply astonishing.

Like everytime I look at him I start manically snickering, he just makes me happy.
I seriously don't have anymore space now, gotta start weeding out my collection.

Yep. Definitely not this month. They're still behind a few other kits too. Their last website update was on Sep 29.

Knowing studio series repaints, how likely are we to get Demolisher and Payload?

Take this with a spoon of salt but if I remember correctly, I could've sworn we were set to get a repainted Demolishor next year with the Grindor Repaint too (Probably trickle effects of SS86).

    Ebay:
If we do get grindor his robot mode probably won't be to scale with blackout
    If grindor was 55 feet
    55x12÷(33x12÷studio series blackout height)
If studio series blackout is 8.5 inches then the answer is 14 inches

Nice. Last I checked his upgrade kit was delayed till at least February 2021.
