Honestly, as much as new reveals are exciting, they need to impose some self-discipline and hold off until they've cut significantly into their massive and ever-growing backlog. When and if they manage to release 3 figures in one month, my bank account will be depleted, but my hope will be restored.

I'm glad i got Enterbay 1/9 Michael Jordan, with every new pic of the MAFEX he looks worse and worse.

This feels like maybe Jordan is close to actually releasing. All these constant delays are really screwing up my budgeting.

he looks best in the shot of him driving. Aren’t these the same promo pics we’ve had though? I can’t tell anything from the boxes pic, but am hoping he ends up improving somehow. He was something I talked myself into and am having regrets about.

maybe, i saw open pics on FB it looks the same type of horrible as the promo pics IMO. The open mouth face is horrid, Uni looks like crap. again glad i got the original 1/9 Enterbay for cheaper than the re-issues price.

That doesn't look anywhere near as bad as the Wonderfest promo pic I saw that looked like it was missing the paint wash.

still looks bad to me. i just looked at 68 pics and only one driving pose looked okay. Maybe it's because i'm comparing it to the enterbay, i dunno but hard pass for me.

Got comic Spidey in today. It's so nice to see sculpted webbing again. The whole deco really brings back the Toybiz vibe, but on a much better body. Definitely prefer the Bagley head to the.... I think those are Romita Jr. eyes? But they didn't capture it quite perfectly. Tried swapping hands and the holes seem too small on all the hands that weren't attached stock, so I'll probably take my pin vice to widen them a little. Definitely don't want those pegs to break. Being my first Mafex, I wasn't sure what to think, and I don't think it feels as natural to move or pose as a Figuart, as the joints are all fairly tight. This will likely be positive in the long run, it just makes me extra careful.

Also the Marvel stamp looks awful. Why the hell could they have not just printed that on the foot?

Bleh, AmiAmi won't update Miles' release date and it's holding up my October order. Really wondering why they're still insisting he's releasing... last month.

They did finally stop taking new orders though.

Just pre-ordered Hush Superman through Sideshow.

Can't wait to put him next to Batman.

I like this pose from Prime 1:

Haven’t opened him up yet, but the Jordan likeness is pretty good for this scale in hand. If I can get him into some iconic poses, I’ll keep him.

Messed with Jordan a little today. Tried to get him in this pose:

    http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-ZM9vy-UC9...s1600/michael-jordan-air-jordan-8-defense.jpg

Not quite bendy enough to do it, sadly. He does seem to be good for solid driving, dunking, and shooting poses though. Be careful with his legs at the hips. I tried to spread his legs for a pose and one came off at the hip inside the outfit which was a bit of a hassle to get back in place.

I wouldn’t say it is truly worth it, but i also expected to have severe buyers remorse and I don’t.

I was so excited with Mafex's release of tetsujin 28 aka gigantor.. until I took him out of the box. Apparently his right internal ball joint at the shoulder wasnt assembled correctly or it wasnt put on at all because it was a floppy mess. I was thinking about sending him back to HLJ for an exchange but I decided to fix him myself.

Long story short, I took him apart, re-attached the internal ball joint (because there's actually 3 in each of the shoulders alone) and put him back together without damaging the figure or doing any modifications.

Overall impressions. Joints are loose but not silly loose. The hip joints are not strong enough to hold a pose due to his heavy diecast feet. The improved articulation on elbows and knees are a welcome surprise (you have to pull them out though) his head is also articulated. The rocket effects.. the pegs are way too large to fit into the rocket pack. You either have to widen the ports or shave/sand a bit off the effect parts.

All the mafex figures Ive purchased have had issues. From misaligned parts, poor paint apps and breaking joints. Am I through with Mafex? Probably not lol. My next Mafex coming in is the Dark knight returns Batman. I hope he doesnt come with any issues. 20201109_121625.jpg 20201109_121613.jpg

Nice to see Mafex has lined up something to work on now that they've finished all their other projects.

I like MAFEX, but they're starting to get as bad as Mezco when it comes to outstanding items.

I've had this happen a couple of times. You just need to email through the contact page with your order number and the item you want to move. They'll move it. They respond really quickly during their business hours. Also they'll probably move it and make a new order for the item. Then you have to combine it later.
