Yeah, Cartoon Network isn’t doing all that great. -None of their cartoon side stories based on the cartoons that used to bring them ratings air on the channel (I.e. adventure time). -That powerpuff girl live action thing is happening, despite them saying they’ll never do live action stuff again. But doing it another channel is a loophole! That makes it ok! -They’re restructuring and canceling shows people actually want. -Sending shows to death slots out of supposed obligations. It’s pretty much points toward Cartoon Network getting Shitcanned in. A few years. Especially with hbo max and at&t trying to replace cn with that.
The hilarious thing is that TTG's ratings have been pathetic for the past few years. Much lower than any of the shows they've canned.
I don’t know. People have thought that CN was dying or dead for years & just like that infomercial that airs from 2am-4am every morning, it’s still going. There’s not much point hoping it’ll get better or die. Just turn it off & save yourself the grief.
My brother and I actually talked about the question on how bad Cartoon Network did between the 2000s up to now. At most it’ll focus on efforts in other areas. If it fails on THAT then they’re pretty screwed. This is the first time AT&T had to put their foot down on Warner divisions and dc stuff. People are already doing en masse
Huh. Ok that’s something new then. If they do close their doors, I won’t even hardly notice. I haven’t watched anything on their channel for years.
Yeah, I noticed that TTG's ratings have really dropped after the fifth season started. It's been going since 2013, a drop in ratings is to be expected, especially as the previous child audience grows out of it. Steven Universe also had a couple ratings dips here and there, and Future never hit the same ratings as the rest of SU did. For reference, TMNT'12 experienced progressively lower ratings as the show went on, and the first two seasons of that show consistently pulled higher ratings than either TTG or Steven Universe ever did. Seems like the shows just age out as the audiences move on, at least to me. That Thundercats Roar has utterly failed to capture an audience speaks for itself, I think. EDIT: Gonna put this out there: Rise of the TMNT had higher critic and audience scores than Roar, but it's viewership ratings were absolutely abysmal even compared to Roar. Part of that was marketing, as well as the fact that Nick moved the show to the NickToons death slot. It sounds like Roar is being subjected to the same type of death slot.
How much you want to bet it get put on HBO MAX and gets another season? EDIT: I couldn't get halfway into that Clownfish video, because of all their bitching!
Okay, once again, I don't want to give Clownfish views, what are their sources? I'm not finding anything official on it at the moment (not that I'd be surprised if it were cancelled considering how low the ratings were and the poor reception it received).
Is that because they accurately referred to the "She-Ra" reboot fanbase as easily the most toxic fanbase for a cartoon at the moment in a recent video? Also their videos will usually have them comment over the sources so you can easily look them up yourself if you just watch them. I don't know, I don't care that much because it was inevitable that this shitty thing would be canceled. If they're reporting accurately, great, if not? Then they made a mistake, big fuckin' whoop. That doesn't suddenly invalidate all the correct things they've said. You can mute it if their words hurt you that much. If you seriously think Clownfish TV is controversial, then I worry for you. This isn't some news network and they aren't journalists, they're just lovable boomers that talk about pop culture. Though at least going off history they don't usually talk about BS so I'm more willing to trust them.
Because I don't give views to outrage clickbait, that's why. Not hard to grasp - their thumbnails are frequently exaggerated, their titles similarly so. It screams clickbait. I'm not interested in giving them views based on this assessment. I didn't even know about the video you're talking about until you mentioned it, so piss off with that. And again I looked into it myself, as yet there's nothing except for their video making this claim. So there's not much of a credible source for me to go on.
Nah, how would you even know if you don't wanna give them views? Do you just follow a ton of people who tell you how to think? Because that's what this 'assessment' reads like to me. Just because they say things that offend you doesn't mean they utilize clickbait and even if they do, last I check that ain't a crime. Tell me more about their content, person who claims to not want to give them views and is probably just bitching about the thumbnails they saw. I respect you showing such due diligence but I don't think they'll miss your oh-so-valuable viewership.
