    I'm glad it's doing well.

I've never, ever, seen it in stores.

Saw these the other day, they look kinda cool, lots of accessories. They were heavy too which surprised me

Well, I guess I'll start taking bets, do you think Wal-Mart will be able to pull its shit together for pre-orders for Wave 2 and later or is it a hopeless crusade?

Personally if they can't get it right by Wave 2, then it's pointless.

This line doesn't interest me too much at the moment, but I'll be all-in if they make it to characters that better fit the concept, like Alpha Trion, Transmutate, BW Ravage, and Botanica.

Thinking of picking up Cheetor just for the accessories, though -- what are the odds that his gun will scale with Kingdom Cheetor? Not great?

Extremely doubtful. These weapons fit into molded hands made for holding weapons, not 5mm ports.

That said, simply cutting off the handle and replacing it with a 5mm post should be easy for anyone who's got experience modding toys. I plan to do just that once Kingdom Cheetor is out.

Got the wave in hand the other day and they are totally ok. Solid, decently poseable and great amount of accessories. Decently poseable though is really short of the mark though where they SHOULD be considering these don't really pose better than their Transforming counterparts. I dig trying to be show accurate (though less excited about more 80s cartoon looking figures - that already killed my interest in the MP line) if they go into other later shows and the next wave seems to do just that so I'm still excited. But things like Ab Crunches, and double elbows need to be made standard across all future figures. No excuse to not be on all of them. And they need to work on ankle articulation - having them able to pop out and extend is a great in idea but on Optimus and Megatron it doesn't effectively give them much more range of motion. SO theres work to be done on the execution of that idea otherwise its a very smart addition to these.

Also confused that I've seen some online reviews that complain about the quality of the materials used on these which is absolutely baffling considering they are built out of the exact same plastics as Hasbros other action figure lines - IE SW Black Series, Marvel Legends PR Lightning Collection. It make sense they would build TF action figures using their standard action figure materials and not the more rigid plastics used on standard Transforming versions of these characters as they both functionally have different purposes and therefor use different materials to better achieve those purposes. Transformation requires very precise fitting of pieces so harder less flexible plastic makes more sense - Hasbro action figures tend to get a more dense but slightly flexible material to make the figure a little more durable and the plastic on transforming TFs is more prone to stress marks and is generally more brittle (remember these are designed for kids first and foremost).

So if RED make cartoon accurate versions of the fembots will you buy them?

Nahh. If they were to do an Alpha Trion, I'd be all in.

One could argue that these figures aren't nearly the same quality as Hasbro's other action figure lines, though.

Also, since it's far more likely that Transformers fans are buying these as opposed to collectors of those other lines, the difference in plastic types would be more of an issue.

I saw these figures for the first time today. I didn't buy any. They're somehow smaller than I imagined. But, I did like the proportions...almost bought Megs.

I really hope they make prime knockout, arachnid, and smokescreen. The search for alpha trion gals, alpha trion himself, nightbird, and autobot spike. I doubt theyll make all those but it would be amazing

One could argue that, but that would just be one's opinion. Honestly the plastic used on these is fine, better suited for posable figures and I think up to the quality of those other lines. At least in build, articulation and aesthetics maybe so far aside but these are the first figures ever in the line and Hasbro can get there (I mean it took in some cases years for Hasbro to get the other lines up to even their current base standard, I'm going to give RED at least more than one wave to prove itself).

I've seen these twice in stores this week, and passed. They're just so small for the price point for me.

I wanted to pass this cautionary picture along as well, of one of the figures I've seen. I don't know how the head attaches, but it either popped off, or the neck sheared during packaging...

I think RED is a great idea for series like Animated, Prime, and Cyberverse where the designs predate the original toys, meaning the toys have to cheat. I don’t see the point for series like G1 / Beast Wars, Car Robots, and Micron Legend though.

That's exactly how I saw that figure at the store so I think is the way it positioned in the package... I personally think the coloring of the figures was kind of a let down, because the eyes on the three figures first have that Bright coloring I seen in other Transformers figures before...

    It’s completely fine.
the necks are on double barbell connections, it’s just shifted in the packaging.
