Yeah he's a retool, he has his standard fare gear with the cape, shoulder things, and crown. He also has bigger wings and I think someone said something about rounder forearms to better represent the scene, I have to check again.

Probably off-base here (as per usual), but..... Don't know if any of you ever bother with the LG manga comics that Takara pump out. But, in the latest one Primus looks a bit like this.... Spoiler: godly spoiler Where previously, he always looked a bit more like this, hewing closer to his G1 2004 blocky-assed Rodimus repaint. Can't help but notice the one from the latest comic is a little less g1 block and a bit more stylized. Now it could just be the artist has went a different direction, but the conspiracist in me wonders if this isn't something of a sneak preview of the rumoured SS86 Rodimus Prime? And a hint at what Takara might do with the mold in terms of a future Select Series repaint?

Well, then I'd say anyone hoping for new molds of Arcee, Springer, Optimus and the like will probably be left wanting for a while There is no rumored SS86 Rodimus Prime, though there is a Rumored Kingdom Rodimus Prime
Nah, not off base, just wrong line it's very possible that the Kingdom Commander Rodimus Prime will look like that design

Well it was likely going to be Toy Fair, but after it got canned it might be an online reveal in its place instead.
I still for the life of me cannot figure out what they can give Rodimus that would bump him up to Commander class. He should be the same size as Optimus, and the trailer only took Optimus to Leader-class.
And people complain that Optimus' trailer is too small and bare bones. The nonnef upgrade kit for Prime's trailer is $25, bringing his price for a fully fleshed out trailer to $75. If a simple 3p kit can bump Optimus up to nearly commander price then a fully featured battle platform for Rodimus bumping him up to Commander isn't too much of a stretch.
And look at Leader Optimus trailer. Literally the bare minimum when it comes to a trailer. Didn’t even come with a roller. Imagine Rodimus trailer at a commander price point. Best case scenario for an amazing battle platform. Personally, I’m very excited about commander Rodimus.
