I'll say that I will take the color mismatch over the super cheap, neon yellow used on the CW figure at the very least.

Friend has Spinout and Cordon in hand, the color matching for the lads are leagues ahead.

I'm glad to eventually have them all (I love having Diaclone variants), and I think it would be super cool to have Tigertrack and Spinout to have a display of the characters as they were intended before their colors and names were swapped for whatever reason.

The decos are much better that way as well.

It really burns my britches that they're only available in a two pack. I'd totally get Spinout if they sold them separately.

    My britches!

Someone probably figures if people will buy Cordon they’ll probably want Spin Out too or vice-versa. And they are probably glad to combine a couple figures to sell together anyway.

Has anyone gotten the robot chest to tab in properly in car mode? It will hold in once the rear of the car to rotate in. but the tabs themselves do not hold on mine.

Mine doesn't 100% tab in when in car mode. It feels like something is holding it back from staying pushed down.

I have the exact same problem. I scraped off the paint on the tabs but it hasn't helped. I was going to try and enlarge the slots. It doesn't feel like they're aligned properly when I push down. But it feels more like somethings's preventing me from pushing the top down than the tabs being misaligned or too big.

Update: if I twist the legs outward a little, the top does tab in most of the way but it slowly pops out if you try to tab the legs fully again.

In hand the colour matching is not bad. I think it depends on the light because I can hardly notice it where I am and its no where close to what the OP pictures are like. He feels very solid and is nice to hold. Never was big on this guy but I have to admit that the colours pop and that's welcomed as most of the autobots I have are red white and blue....merica

Floppy top aside, I think he's great. I wish they made an earthmode Sideswipe with the same car mold. I want more Autobot sports cars! Can't wait for Tracks.

The color mismatch isn’t nearly as noticeable by the human eye in person.

Shower thought, but would the car and robot mode shoulders look less bland if someone paint the vents black? This would make him a smidge more cartoon accurate too.

I think you’re right. That minor tweak would really level up his appareance. Would you need paint or could you accomplish the same outcome with careful use of a sharpie marker?

The problem is that a sharpie would never fully dry. If you were to use one and later handle the toy, if you were to touch that area even a little, it would begin to smear all over.

For longevity paint is better. My friend used Testor's paint to patch up Arcee today.

Paint is **ALWAYS** going to be better. This is coming from someone who also does model kits and paints. Sharpies go on very uneven and it takes multiple layers to get a good color fill, and even then you have to smudge the previous layers which ends up showing. Even then the finished product will have a texture that's uneven with the rest of the plastic finish and will be shiny. Whereas yes, priming, sanding, painting, and varnish is more steps and more work, the result is something a million times better.

As I always say...the best things in life are the hardest.

His paintjob is fitting. The painted yellow chest is his sun shirt. The rest of him is naked.

    He’s Sunstreakin’ .

I was actually thinking of doing this, and I did a photo chop mock up. Still not sure...
