Wow, you guys can get the official for $45/£34 in the US? That's completely, utterly insane . It's around £140/$180 over here. Time to pack my bags I'm collecting on the wrong side of the planet
I really like the movieverse SS design and am really disappointed with the lack of paint and warped rubber parts on the official MPM-10... so I would be willing to step off my no KO soap box and pick up one of these... But, I've handled a lot of BMB stuff and not a single one was any good. The OS brawl literally snapped in my hands and and I was being delicate with it. Their OS shockwave had major hip problems (though I understand that has since been resolved) with sheering. That is just a few recent examples off the top of my head. I think I'm going to wait for a few more in hand previews... The few vids that are out there do not look very BMB to me. But the Translucent amber (wtf...) used on the saw blade does say BMB to me.
Is there any way to confirm if or when they'll do a tattoo version? I want to get this guy in one form or another but I'm not sure if this is the best I can get or not (paint-wise)
Brawl (LS-10) seems to have been about when their main line took a dive. Prior to that I hadn't heard any real complaints aside from the occasional cheap feeling (which wasn't unexpected). I can't say I've experienced all of them personally but I know my LS-10 feels a lot more brittle than LS-05 or LS-06, and LS-12 feels downright frail. Their other lines seem to be OK, though - like the OS Bumblebee Ultimate Prime (the "evasion mode" one). It's just these "big" ones that are suffering, perhaps to get stock levels up faster due to demand?
According to ShowZ this is BMB. I missed out on the Target clearance for the official one but afraid to pre-oder this due to their Q/C issues with o/s shockwave, te bumblebee and te g1 mirage.
Hesitant, but frankly it saves me at least $90-190 on the mold. Risking it, if it breaks then ROTF Forest setup he goes or forever alt mode til the painted OSKO comes. The official would just look criminal next to all the Weijiang 07 figures.
Yea but I don't want to spend any more money on starscream mold because I already have the hftd leader, official studio series and bmb o/s version.... the mpm will stay in bot mode for me. Not sure if OSKO will come but probably will have more issues given it's a larger figure. Tough decision.
having witnessed all the horror stories in the black mamba shockwave thread I’m not going to defend them but a while back I picked up their LS15 os ko Studio series Jetfire and it had good plastic quality, paint and tolerances. So while they’re definitely a Very mixed bag at least some of the products are coming out as you’d expect. Hopefully this starscream is of similar quality but I’ve definitely seen enough to know To wait for multiple user reviews and never preorder when it comes to BMB
I get that, I've passed on everything so this would be my first Bayverse Starscream mould hence my willingness to risk it for the biscuit.
Maybe I wasn't paying attention but I just received a balance repayment request from ShowZ already, and it's changed to "incoming" on their site. I didn't realise it was coming that soon, I guess to get it out quickly before any legal intervention?
Yeup, just got my payment notification as well! I thought it was scheduled for a late December release, but I don't see an ETA on the website anymore.
Well this is all we have to go on thanks to @williammmw 's help, and it isn't like they've hid the transformation or any posing, handling it with kid gloves like with WJ BB MP09 Prime. Time will tell, but for me the price is right at least.
Seems to me like you are on a one man mission to trash BMB. The product is not even released yet yet you are already looking to criticize it.

The fact that its being shipped so close after being revealed could hint that they still want customers to know its out but wanna make it less likely for any CPI claims to track them through a proverbial media breadcrumb trail, identify the packagers, reach evidence of production in warehouses and get the police to raid it before KO companies can do small runs, get money in, and ghost. Fastest announcement to in-stock notice I've seen. I'm here for it though, ship em ShowZ!
I'm giving this figure a shot but I think it's fair to be sceptical at this point - I was okay with Brawl but could certainly see the issues with it, and Shockwave never should have made it to production in its original state.
This is good to hear. The left shoulder slides out freely on my official one and all locking tabs on both ankles are pretty much trash. He can only stand in an extreme squatting and hunched forward position. So this is already shipping? Decisions decisions...
