Did some calculations, with assumption that the combined mode is 50cm
    The above pics is 965px = 50cm

    The train(s) width is about 6.7cm (129px)
And the G1 mold that I have is only 2cm.

Is the G1 mold HO scale?
What scale would this one be?

    Ebay:
If it is HO, that will fall on the smaller G gauge scales (G runs from 1:22 to 1:32 or thereabouts, depending on the prototype), since it would be ~1:26.

OK dig some more and I think the G1 trainbots is N-scale, given the gauge (track width) is only 8mm (train width is 20mm)

Extrapolating from that & the nice front image, Radiatron train width is about 67mm, with exact gauge width of 27mm probably :D
the closest train scale would be O-scale with 32mm gauge, still reasonable with the 67mm train width. O-scale is about 1:45 scale, pretty much MP :D

Oh well too big to go with 1:60 scale. Now I wish TakaraTomy version is S-scale (1:64-ish)

Japan doesn't use standard gauge for most lines though, that messes up most calculations. Most of Japan is narrow gauge. But it's not even the "normal" narrow gauge (3ft) it's the slightly wider Cape gauge (3ft6in). So it's "extra-wide narrow gauge".

I think Raiden is actually incompatible with itself, in the real world, because the bullet trains run on their own, standard gauge lines. You couldn't ever run those 6 locos together.

There's no need to be afraid. Takara Raiden WILL come out.

    Doesn't bother me though.

I’m gonna wait until we see what scale Takara does combiners are at, I have a feeling it’ll MMC combiner or smaller. I won’t be in for that scale

At one point I would've agreed with you, but given the fact that takara tends to prioritize robot mode above all else, I have a feeling their Raiden will end up similarly sized to this one. Which will definitely make for some interesting competition
