Is punch the exact same figure released by funpub, just a lighter blue?

Thought it was going to be nightbeat at first glance.  

 

it was release by hasbro, and i think the only real different color is there more black on it and yellow stripe on the bottom of the car mode

 

And another US exclusive...*sigh*.. oh well

 

Colors on that new PCP are definitely less saturated/dark. The first release during Power of the Primes is much closer to the G1 toy's plastic colors.

Still a way for people to grab the mold who missed out. I could see this lighter one being used as Punch and the darker, older release being used for Counterpunch.

So... how does that interact with the supposed re-release of Punch next year amongst the re-released TR Headmasters line?

Cos I'd kinda like a Punch, but I definitely don't want a Barricade (and it's always possible that the two-pack just won't be obtainable here in Australia anyway).

 

As @yvk2000 points out that baby blue with yellow trim looks mighty close to Nightbeat's deco, enough to make me wonder if perhaps something BTS led to the change from a Nightbeat recolour of a Titan Master mould to P/CP in very similar colours?

I'm also wondering if the original/toy colours P/CP might still be making an appearance in the Wave 2 of Walmart's "G1 reboxed" Headmasters because if they stick to rounding out the '87 Headmasters the wave will only be three figures, not four (though admittedly that's also possible as waves don't always have the exact same number of figures in them)?

 

Most likely, falsely representing leaked information due to only being given images. In other words, this exactly fits the description pixelmaster gave of that Punch/Counterpunch rerelease, so this IS that and it likely won't be in the headmasters line. I don't think Pixelmaster intentionally gave out wrong information, but he/she definitely didn't have the full story before they started posting leaks

 

Yep. This is probably the result of having mostly info from the factory side of things - knowing what's being produced, but not knowing exactly where it's going to end up and having to make educated predictions.

 

In which case it would probably be better for a leaker to not associate a leaked release with a line unless they actually know where it's coming out. Let the fandom make their assumptions, but passing out incorrect or half correct info does cause ones reputation as a reliable leaker to take a hit.

Again, don't think it was intentional misinformation in any way, but it was still misinformation

Don't buy from this eBay seller. They lie and won't return messages or give a refund when you call them on their bs. Order pages says it will be here by Nov 12 but after I buy it they send a message saying that it won't ship til Jan 2021.
