Yep I only saw wave one of beast wars once and only 96 deluxe I saw regularly was k9. Resorted to using argos as a pot luck for rhinox and cheetor. Improved after that year but I'm not sure we even got the last wave of tigertron, balackarachnia and buzzsaw over here. I didn't see past wave one of beast machines either and only found hot shot from armada in collectors shops.

Honestly we moan about distribution now but it wasnt good. That being said I can't believe we are still lwaiting for preorders to go up for Netflix wave 2 and thrust.

This is a fair complaint. In order to get all of Beast Wars season 1 show cast I had to drag my mate round ALL of Oxford with me. Argos, TRU, and a half dozen other stores I don't remember. Took me another 5 years or so to complete season 2 and 3.

Thankfully Beast Machines was so badly distributed I didnt even bother buying any.

Armada was pretty decent from what I remember, but I also remember I'd had them imported from BBTS for months before they showed them at Toyfair in London.

 

Yeah I remember the only place I saw Beast Machines was (Expensive, ha! compared to todays prices) imports at Forbidden Planet. I picked up Primal and Thrust and yeah I'm done. Oh except Primal Prime.

My theory at the time (pre Internet access) was that we got what was left over from the US but that was probably just my child mind/playground hearsay.

Beast machines was properly atrociously distributed and I bought none of it either due to that factor, all I saw deluxe wise was non show vehicons and other than that the weird blue deluxe primal, black tankor and supreme cheetor. Did get a deep discount huge jetstorm as a gift I enjoyed though.

Rid seemed reasonable where it was only a handful of releases we missed out on instead like skid-z, tow line, JRX, galvatron and scourge. (did see JRX, galvatron and scourge at comic shops)

Armada seemed fairly reasonable too although show characters disappeared quickly.i remember I only saw wheeljack and nemesis once and never saw any of the powerlinx guys just walls of hoist and the beast wars transmetal retools.

Don't think I ever saw roadblock or powerlinx hotshot from energon. Other than that didn't see the mirage mould, omega sentinel, quickstrike, the white landmine or slugslinger. That's where my memory stops I'm afraid as I wasnt a big cybertron fan.

It's the same figure released with a Bonus Prime Prime Master as a Prime Wars Trilogy "end cap" figure for POTP, the OG was in G1 Toy colours (darker blue, no yellow trim stripe, blue fists matching the arm blue, red hubcaps, way more paint on the Counterpunch shin details), and if you don't have him already THAT (superior) version is apparently being packed with the Wave 2 of Walmart G1-look Headmasters to take the Wave to four figures seeing as there's only Highbrow, Skullcruncher & Weirdwolf otherwise!

As someone noted in the GOC thread, that baby blue and yellow sure is close to Nightbeat's colouration, yeah?
I do wonder if the eminent detective was the original plan but BTS circumstances caused a shuffle?
