I never take cartoon scale into account for those reasons. Scale will never and physically can never be accurate, just look at Astrotrain as an example considering he can fit Devastator inside of him. That said, I don't even need a combiner to be over 20 inches but it has to be as close as possible. The imposing height is just too appealing to me to go smaller and it looks correct to me when comparing them to the big non-combiners like Omega Supreme which are all in the 22+ inch range. As for partsforming i've never really had an issue with it. Would i prefer it to a minimum? Sure, but it doesn't affect me one way or another if the overall design works. If an 18 inch combiner is good to the point i can't ignore it or just will never be made in a larger scale i'd have no issue getting one.

    To each their own, though.

I'm not trying to be argumentative here, but you basically said you never take cartoon scale into account and then talked about how the scale of the toy matters but the scale of the MP line and 3rd party are based on the cartoon scale. Some more loosely than others. But if it's not scale, then what is it that would make you say a combiner team whose combined mode is 18" is not a masterpiece?

I’m confused why people are leaving XTB out of the MP combiner situation? They pretty much confirmed both combiners are 50” which keeps them in scale with Zeta/DX9/FT. So I don’t see the problem and I like that the bots actually scale with the existing Takara figures but all we’ve seen is one carbot so it’s not like we can even say what the others will scale like.

Except they showed the updated design months ago, so it is absolutely ludicrous for you to be arguing from the position that since it hasn’t been manufactured yet the designers shouldn’t have had any time in the last year to have developed any other designs and until it is put on sale the design could not be finished and every moment of their time until it is released has to have be taken up by the redesign lest they are ignoring it. What a ridiculous premise you are depending on.

The MMC one looks to have the scope for an add on kit to fit between the knee connection to raise him up an extra inch.. plus an additional part for bigger feet like their Bruticus.

I wonder if XTB's Defensor will come with a Trailer? And will it be released in 2025 after umpteen failed promises to show it to anyone?

I'm getting this set for the Protectobots, not Defensor. Though, I would like to see some other renders of the rest of the set

    Or god forbid, Groove.

I'll keep an eye open, but even that one cursory bot mode photo is already showing a lot of unnecessary complexity. Looks like the torso is concealing a big pile of fiddly panels.

I'm just going by what XTB themselves have said is happening with the trailer. It was they who said it was being redesigned, and that was the reason for the delay. I think it's reasonable for their customers to expect them to devote their resources to actually redesigning the product they've delayed, rather than getting sidetracked on something else - which is how it looks when they announce a new combiner and TWO other carbots while still having the trailer unreleased and no reliable ETA.

And the redesign has already been revealed, so there is no reason to believe the design team has much left, if anything, to do with it to the extent that they can’t be working on any other projects.

I don't believe we actually know for sure if that's the redesign. Regardless, they seemed to be using the redesign as an excuse not to show us the combined mode on the testshot, so all we can really do at this point is speculate.
I think his point, ultimately, is that it's just a bad look, as I've said previously. Maybe the trailer is finished, but when you're not showing the entirety of the finished product (especially the one part people care about the most, by far) and yet you're announcing a whole bunch of new projects despite knowing your customers are not super-happy with you right now, it's just very tone-deaf.

No, that is the name of all four limbs. Va, Por, Wa, Re for Streetwise, Groove, Blades, and First Aid.

Even if that was the redesign (which it may or may not be, it could just be the old one to try and get people to shut up for a while) they could very easily be redesigning it again. Or as TJCC said they could just be using it as an excuse.

I’m not terribly concerned about why they haven’t shown the final product. I’m just not compelled by complaints based on the idea that they can’t work on the design of other figures without significant disruption to the trailer being finished, and doing the former is coming at significant expense to the latter?

Or perhaps they can actually design multiple different projects over the past 6 months. What a shocking concept.
I’d hate to see the personal productivity of people who believe an organization can’t actually manage multiple projects simultaneously.

I don't know why some are spouting vaporware when I have 5 Stunticons on my shelf that I can actually touch and transform, sure they can't combine yet. Do you even know what the word means? Atleast we have seen what the trailer looks like but FT hasn't shown theirs.

Am I the only one wishing it was another company besides X-Transbots? Yes, I am aware of MMC, but I plan to use those strictly for Robot mode. Zeta? Fans Toys? Where are you guys at?

Its cool and all that the limb bots will be the same scale with their stunticons but imo the problem with that is you have Blades and First Aid the size of an MP carbot. I dont know how well will that go with a 50 cm Defensor. Maybe they'll use fake arm shells again but i dont know how will that work because Defensors limbs actually combines with him unlike Menasor, so i hope XTB can make things clearer about their plans with the Protectobots.

Definitely interested in this set as an option...the XTB Stunticons are my favourite MP combiner team out of those released so far. Hoping for Streetwise and Groove to be carbot scale, Blades and First Aid to be Seeker/Vanette height and Hot Spot to be around the size of Prime or XTB Motormaster. Also hoping for the combined height to be about the size of Toyworld Constructor (give or take). Partsforming preferred, don't clutter up the individual bots. I do want that Gravestone trailer first though because if Menasor turns out to be no good combined then I won't be bothered with this one even if the individuals are great.

@ibot Please please release a pic of at least a line-up of blacked-out silhouettes for the whole team (including combined form) so that we can see how they scale together as individuals and along with other MP figures before the preorder for this streetwise goes up!
