This looks cool. I’d like to see it in Galactic Man colors.

In color, I'll bet I like this better than their Megatron. It's a neat mold, but doesn't scream Megatron to me. Could look nice as Shockwave.

But they really need to get Galvatron out. That's where the money will live.

Love Cross-Dimension. Even if it doesn't fit well into the rest of my collection, I'm down for any they want to make and will give them a place of honor in my collection.

Sadly, I'm not very into remolds if I already own the base figure. This is a step bringing me closer to selling my little CD collection cause the line doesn't really seem to move anywhere...
Yes, I'm disappointed that this is not Galvatron or that Shockwave won't get his own mold :(

I know some folks are a bit frustrated, but I'm so glad CD isn't dead. I imagine that its easier for them to take some small steps for the time being. I don't know anything about their process, but I imagine coming out with a solid retool isn't as expensive and will help build up capital toward something bigger. Plus I imagine they want to test the waters to see how the market for these figures is doing.

From everything we've seen (or haven't, in this case?), Maketoys seems to probably be in a bit of financial trouble. There's no doubt in my mind that Shockwave being a retool, along with the MP Seeker repaints, are being done to make a quick profit to fund future projects.

Is it a shame Shockwave isn't a new mold? Sure. But if that's what it takes to get Galvatron out and support more CD projects, I'll happily take it.

That being said, I honestly don't mind this being a retool. My stance on retools is firmly "if a character wears a mold well, might as well use it." Both Megatron and Shockwave turn into guns and have an arm cannon, so it works very well here.

    They didn’t.

Looking back, I think I got confused. I was sure that the pictures had January as an estimated date, but I must have mixed it up with the release dates they listed for their Seekers.

Man this is quite an impressive surprise to see. Sure he may be just a retool of the Megatron mold but boy does he make it work. He really manages to carry the iconic Shockwave design traits while also doing a lot of unique things too. He may end up being on my buy list for sure.

I like the head, and I like the Megatron figure, but I’m not sure I love either enough to shell out more money on the mold. OTOH, if this is how they get money to finish some of their other designs…

*sigh* Well, that makes three Shockwaves on my radar now (this, Planet X, and Purple Potato). Shame this one doesn't have blast effects like the other two, though.

Never picked up Cross Dimension's version of Megatron, so this will be a new experience for me.

It’s a great mold, one of the best Megatrons ever made. My only complaint is the hips have wide ratchets, so you either get straight up/down or A stance, nowhere in between. But it’s a very minor issue, he’s basically perfect every other way. I think you’ll enjoy this remold

I’m gonna use this as Transtech shockwave, that way I have a place to fit him in my collection instead of just being a random shockwave.

Looks kinda cool and gives beast hunter design vibes but I mean, lets be honest, just like their Galvatron, this will disappear for who knows how many years and we probably won't see updates for at least another 2 years.

Hmm, I am impressed. Even as a mere retool, this still oozes Cross Dimension.

That said, they’ll have to up/change the materials for me to really get back in. Over time - as I have gone back and revisited this line - I have found myself not really favoring the plastic they used (at the least for this specific mold). But eh, I think I am the only one with this qualm so that most likely ain’t gonna happen. Still, throwing it out here; you know, for the universe to hear.

Did a couple of quick comparisons with my Rioter Despotron. Original mold pieces are highlighted in yellow. Non-yellow pieces should be self-explanatory.

Not opposed to Maketoys taking the CD Megatron mould and turning it into Shockwave. G1 Shockwave was a space gun as was CD Megatron. And to be honest, CD Megatron did tempt me, but I had no place for it. Not that I really have a place for this...

But it is a bit annoying that they started the line with showing art for a Bumblebee (possibly never intended to become a figure), also showed the Seekers (same), there's design art for a Rodimus (was really interested in that) and there was a prototype for a Galvatron (wasn't that also CD 06?). I think I would've preferred seeing either of those (esp Rodimus followed by Galvatron) over this.

But still, tempting. Not too crazy about the head design or that piece on his gunarm. Of course, will it ever get released...
